Ok but it would allow worse connectivity with older lenses of other brands. In my opinion when you want to use legacy lenses you should be able to do it via adapter and the mount should be changed. I really like the idea of using canon fd lenses which won't be possible without a new mount

I thought about a modular camera of this kind:
1) Back with a sensor
2) midlle element with just a mirror, mount and OVF
3) Lens
Which could be changed to only first element without mirror and with live view only and EVF
Just the way MF cameras are modular

I'd love mirorless FF, it would be a dream come true. Look at sony in which you can use basically any lens, it doesn,t matter if it's screw mount, sony mount, K mount or FD mount or any other ( of course you loose AF in many cases ). A line of mirrorless cameras with a top of FF, exciting.
