Katherine Johnson (born August 26, 1918) is an African-American physicist, space scientist, and mathematician who contributed to America's aeronautics and space programs with the early application of digital electronic computers at NASA.
A much more interesting person than this Katherine Johnson. ;-)
I bet they had so much fun. I'm tickled pink that they liked the Blossom Tee. (Sunshine did such beautiful work on it!)
(Totally off topic, but Katie and are a smiling right now seeing your "I am Anne Elliot." button on your sidebar. Are you going to disown me after today's post? ;-)

Looking forward to the pictures. I really love this yarn.
I know exactly what you mean about visual vs. functional. We've always had a family icon corner, it's just a norm of Orthodox life. For years we had our icons in the main entry because of the huge niche in the hallway. It looked so pretty, but standing there to pray, in the middle of the hallway, it just didn't work. Then we tried a corner in our family room. It was nice too but it didn't work in a room that was always so much a buzz. And it war right by the back door that's slammed a bajillion times a day. Now we have an eastern wall, a little corner, in the front sitting room. (You saw it on IG today.) We've been gathering there each evening for prayers and so far it's suiting our needs. It's difficult to gather a family of 9 in a corner of the home - every space seems so crowded. But I do like having the chairs nearby for spiritual reading and definitely prefer the quiet of the space, away from the busiest areas of the home. (I agree with you about your buffet area. Seems the perfect spot visually, but that would be difficult as far as actually using the space.)
I love the new look. Very clean and pretty.
