Thank you, Toast. You were the first big place to ever publish me, and one of my favourite places to read, and I will always be so grateful.

Finish grad school and get a job and an apartment. Also...and it seems silly to even mention this, but I want to save for seeing Hamilton. With needing to move and furnish a place, it may not be possible, but this show has meant so much to me, and it would be one of the highlights of my life. Already I am buying less crap, because I'm like "I could have this thing I don't need, or put money in the Hamilfund," so there's that.

That whole monologue made me *wince* with recognition in a soul-deep way, and made me want to apologize to anyone who ever interacted with me in any way when I was 19.

I agree with this reading, but identified with Hamilton anyway. It was really uncomfortable for me because I saw all my own worst traits in him, and really understood how A.Burr could shoot the little shit. I think I identify with them both, actually, and not in the good way, in the 'oh, god, is that really how I am?' way.
