I had to stop and check in with myself about 7 times whilst reading this to remind myself I wasn't the one who actually wrote it…ha! It resonated THAT powerfully! I kept copying and pasting excerpts to use as the tagline when I share it on FB and couldn't even choose one! The whole piece is SO amazing! I am totally an HSP and this may have been the most helpful and therapeutic part for me, "Bringing in a daily ritual is a way for HSPs to work with their unique trait, not against it." This was like a breath of fresh air to be reminded how very beautiful this trait can be, and how we can use our attention and mindfulness to hone the trait so as for it to flourish and promote nothing but beneficial energy. Beautiful piece. Sharing far and wide. XX

Oh it most certainly must be learned first hand, Gheran. It's an experiential lesson. The powerful capacity of human beings for awareness and growth mustn't be overlooked, though! Many people have already experienced this, perhaps several times, but may not have had the context or filter through which to process the grief. Don't underestimate said "readers." I believe they are way more emotionally advanced, open and fearless than you're giving them credit for ;-) be well, x x.

I am so on board with fighting for true love, John, don't get me wrong. "Love, real good love," as you say, is definitely worth working for, day in and day out. I use the analogy of a garden…if you expect your flowers to bloom, you must tend your garden. Water the flowers, provide ample sunlight, give them the TLC they require to grow and flourish. Same goes for love. I believe that we know, deep down, what relationships are worth that TLC and which ones are meant to be fleeting, serve as a lesson and release us back into the world. Very different situations, very different.

First and foremost Mashal, you are NOT weak. One who is weak would not have even read this article, nor would they have had the insightful response you had. You are neither weak nor ignorant and, therefore, you have EVERYTHING you need to traverse this journey of yours. I believe in you. So grateful my words could offer any solace during a transitional phase in your life. Remember, we are all in this together! Love and light dear friend.

Oh my gosh YES, Esperanza, you hit the nail on the head. "People fall in love with each other, not because of the person itself, but the idea of who that person represents," yes yes yes. I so agree. At least that is often what happens. We create a "story," if you will, and expect life to fill in that story as we perceive it. But life, and other people (beings of their own free will) challenge these stories constantly. Until we learn to see what is really in front of us and love it for what it is, we will face resistance. I think you are right on, honey pie, you know your Truth. Keep being strong xx.

Yes! Surrender. It is all about "loving what IS" rather than dwelling on what we wish/crave/desire/regret. Simply seeing what is and choosing to love it, to surrender to it. It's an art, a practice. One that will take me this lifetime ;) thank you beautiful xx.
