A break sounds like it's just what you need, Jess. I'll miss seeing new posts on your blog, but getting yourself better and healing is what's the most important thing. I hope you can start to heal and that Megan will help you - she's so adorable!
So take as long as you need because we'll definitely be here when you're ready to come back <3

I'd quite like to check in with Carey too since we don't entirely find out what happens to her. I'd love to check in with Eleanor too. I think Rowell has mentioned doing a sequel to Eleanor & Park, so we might get to see her again! And Roar is definitely a must. I'd quite like to see how he's getting on.
Great lists! :D

I love the new banner, Jess! It's fresh and extremely pretty <3
I'll be going on a wardrobe detox very soon - I'm also struggling to shut my doors and also my drawers. Cinderella was perfection wasn't it? I saw it on Friday and I'm completely in love with it. And I totally agree with you on Madden's eyes. So beautiful <3
The one movie I totally wouldn't recommend seeing it Seventh Son. I ended up walking out on it and it's the first movie I've walked out on after getting my Cineworld card last June - and I've seen A LOT of bad films since then but Seventh Son was the WORST.

I'm also trying not to splurge money, but it's hard! I think less trips into Waterstones to wander around are needed - that's where most of my random purchases seem to be.

I'm glad you're back Jess!

I always prefer the non-movie covers. Sometimes the movie covers aren't too bad though. I remember the City of Bones movie cover being quite nice and I think I actually preferred that to the original cover.
It's so hard to find the original cover after the movie has been released! I think I've only seen the movie cover of Gone Girl for the past few months.

I think I'm kind of the same as you. I get really curious about a book if there are tons of people raving about it on twitter and loads of people are reading it on Goodreads. And I usually find myself buying said book. I think the most recent ones have been Red Queen and A Darker Shade of Magic. I ended up loving Red Queen and I grabbed myself a copy of ADSOM the other day.
But I really hate when the hype surrounding a book doesn't live up to your expectations. That's always the worst.

Harry Potter and The Infernal Devices would totally be on my list too! I love them both! Under the Never Sky is also an amazing series. Roar, Aria and Perry are brilliant characters. I still need to get around to finishing the Legend trilogy and His Fair Assassin. Graceling and Finnikin are both on my TBR for this year!
Great list :D

Ooh, sounds like you both had a fantastic month! I hope you had a lovely birthday Nicole! I still need to get around to reading The Ruby Circle - I can't bring myself to pick it up! I'm definitely more intrigued by The Storyspinner since it was your pick of the month!
Happy reading :D

I am extremely guilty of not reading any Dan Brown - I have, however, seen the Da Vinci Code movie (which I enjoyed). I adore reading your reviews, especially reviews of books you loved because you just make me want to go and spend money and buy all the books! Your reviews are just so beautifully written!
I have to admit that I actually don't mind all the romance in YA (I'm a sucker for it). So I definitely won't mind romance aspect. But I'm so intrigued by the mystery aspect now. Even more than I was before.
Thank you for this amazing review, Jess. I'm off to go and part with some money!

Talon and Cruel Beauty are amazing!! I've heard a lot of fantastic things about Dissonance and The Kiss of Deception, so I hope you enjoy them!
Hopefully you'll get to them all this year! Happy reading :)

Uh oh. I was really looking forward to this one as well. But just like you, I'm kind of bored with dystopians now (I tired myself of them in 2013 when I did a dystopian reading challenge). And you're 100% right! Most dystopians follow the exact same basic story. It's brilliant when you come across one with a fresh, new idea. But this one definitely doesn't sound like that.
I may get around to it at some point, but it's definitely no longer on my MUST READ IMMEDIATELY list. Thanks for the honest review Jess! :)
