This post made me miss Tokyo and Japan even more :-) ... anyway, I have a similar list to yours including onsen, subways and trains, Odaiba, Kaiten-zushi, etc. How about the consistent great service you get and no doggie bags at restaurants (well, this could be good or bad).

Thank you for posting a comment on my blog. Looks like we have a few similarities - I am also a recent expat after living in Tokyo for almost 3 years (2008-2010), returned home to Toronto and miss Japan a lot! We even blog about the same topics (ie. the recent Japanese Film Festival at JCCC).

When did you take these shots? I went over a month ago when it first opened and the line was also very long (didn't go in either, same allergy as you - so i also just took outside pictures). If recent, I guess it is still quite popular with the otaku crowd.
