Storybook Slayers : Manga Review: Oreimo by Tsukasa Fushimi

Ahh this seems to be the manga of the week to review. Like Cindy I had trouble trying to read the PDF and haven't had a chance to try and argue with it again. I'm glad to see the opposite opinions and know that I might have to try this once it hits print. My Manga Monday @ Book Brats

Ohhhh I've only had a few moments to try GW2 during the betas and you can bet I'm excited to get to some of this stuff. I want to see a castle in the sky! I'm super happy as well to be able to try out my tree hugging ranger. ;)

Amy's Book Den : Early Review: Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter

I think I wanted to strangle Henry throughout most of the book, but it's done so well! We're so far into Kate's mind that we really can't see anything else but what she does - and from her eyes Henry is so.. cold in this book that's it's despair 24/7. Tugging at my headstrings is almost an understatement. :( Aside from that, I like that the overarching plot definitely evolves in this book - we see more of the characters that had only been briefly mentioned before. Ingrid is definitely a lot of fun - I hope we see far more of her in the next book.

Amy's Book Den : Review: Everneath by Brodi Ashton

I liked Everneath a LOT, and I got stuck in that cycle of Love/Hate with Cole too. I feel like I never hated him as much as I was supposed to since I'm so used to the 'Bad' Good guy these days that his actions just glanced off of me. Jack though.. Jack broke my heart. :(

Amy's Book Den : Interview: Marissa Meyer - Cinder

Hahahha, it's so good I'm not filled with crazy - while I was reading Cinder it distinctly reminded me of Sailor Moon fanfics about Serenity and Endymion! I'm also glad to hear that Cinder continues to be the main character, I'd thought it was switching POV's around for the rest of the tale. EDIT: It makes even MORE sense when I realize I've even read her fanfics. <3 Yey for making it!

Rywn : Touch of Power : Review

I LOVE this cover (this is the UK one) so much more then the US one. The UK editors also have an animated version of it that they did for her that's cute. :) I've read ALL her books, and while they're all good, Study has always stood out the most to me, and it seems like all her fans like to sweep the 'Glass' spinoff of the Study series under the rug.

Amy's Book Den : Early Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

oh I'm so glad someone did an early review of this - I was worried it'd be a bit too sci-fi-y for me and that I'd end up not liking it, but it sounds like it's still got plenty of humor and romance. :)

Amy's Book Den : Follow Friday (14)

Oooh Jean Grey would be interesting, though funnily enough I'm terrified with the idea of someone being able to read my mind. Though Wolverine is my clear favorite in terms of X-Men. Squee! You're reading Touch of Power - do you like it? I absolutely love Maria V. Snyder, and I really enjoyed Touch. It reminds me a lot of her writing for the Study series more then it does Glass or Inside out, and I adore that. It was really good in my opinion!

Rywn : Return from Vacation!

It's definitely a beautiful place to visit! I grew up in Maine, so for me it was a trip 'back home' to visit the family. Fall is an AMAZING time of year to visit - Apple Picking, County Fairs, Drive-Ins, leaves changing... it's so much fun!

I've been really on the fence about this one, so it's nice to see a good review of it :) I usually love anything that references mythology, so I'll have to had this to the TBR list :)

I don't understand why MOAR people have not read Tamora Pierce. She's amazing!! I just reread Terrier and Bloodhound to get prep'd for Mastiff, and then started rereading Alanna because I missed a certain character... :D

Oh my gosh - I think we love all the same books! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tamora Pierce to the ends of the Earth, and I'm BEYOND excited the Mastiff is about to come out. (I'm really crossing my fingers for Rosto!) Maria V. Snyder is AMAZING as well, and if I could have my very own Valek, I'd definitely die happy.

Rywn : Sailor Moon Vol. 1 : Review

I haven't seen any stickers so far, but that would've been amazing! If I recall correctly, the US is getting it condensed to 12 volumes for Sailor Moon and 2 for Sailor V. I'm excited to see if there's more changes! All I've really been able to read in the past are fan scanlations which have varied in quality, so I can't wait for each volume. You're so lucky to have been able to read the reissues!!
