Best thing that could happen for the WWE Universe and especially his bland, tired character.

Worst TNA "surprise" since Road Warrior Animal... and that's saying something. What a rush... of disappointment.

Look, they've already got it rough enough - being fans of WCW Light. Leave them alone... or else. Ummmm... or else they'll do nothing but chime in with complaints and make vague statements about how much the product is improving. Or better yet, that it's now more entertaining than WWE.

I follow that logic to a certain degree, but then I stop and think that the greedy assholes who would prevent such a cure from existing are subject to getting cancer just like the rest of us. Surely their desire for a long life for themselves and their loved ones would trump the money from keeping a cure for cancer down.

Self-interest has to kick in at the survival level at some point, no?

If Reid were to have done this in Japan, I'd completely agree, but he did it in the same town his parent and countless loved ones live in. Reid legally being able to do what he wants makes it tougher, but I don't think any parent of any age should ever throw up their hands and give up hope on their child like that.

Many people don't give up on their children when they legitimately have no hope, like if they were diagnosed with a terminal illness. To just say "It was out of everyone's control - he was doomed" seems like a shitty way to look at it. Might help one cope after a death, but you don't give up on loved ones, no matter how hard the battle.
