Woman/Mother/Poet/Thinker/Soul Mate The words flowed fairly easily...of course I am first and foremost a woman. I wear my feminity with pride...love it and all it entails. My son is more precious to me than anyone or anybody (except God) so being his mother is an honor and a blessing. I'm a poet...I have it tattooed on my ankle. I have always been a braniac...love to read and learn and study. I have a masters degree but I plan to go back and do 1 or 2 more. The last one started off as lover but then I realized that's not how I see it. I see myself as one piece of a whole. I liked this exercise :)

I honestly never thought I was the type to pledge. Have always been a little separate/different. However I did in fact pledge an auxillary (Alpha Angels) my freshman year in college. Awesome experience. Met a ton of wonderful women and men. And seeing as I was in Pittsburgh all alone (born and raised in Southern California) it helped a bit with the loneliness. Now I never did go on to pledge a sorority...never could find the same sort of feeling that I had with my auxilary. So I guess I'm not pro or con...think its just a personal individual choice.

Found absolutely no humor in this video. As a mother who discusses everything (yes, everything) with my son...I want him to get it from me rather than some unknown/unqualified individual. I just don't see the "cute" in this. Just a case of bad judgment on the part of the parents who taped this...I hope.

A friend of mine and her family are from Palestine and they observe Ramadan every year...I really do admire her dedication in preparing meals for her family to eat together (before and after sunset) while still working and moving through life with a smile on her face and not a grumble out of her. My church does something similar every January. A 30 day church wide fast and prayer to start the new year. I've never felt like was ready for that but in 2 weeks they are doing a 5 day fast/pray which I am planning to participate in. Hoping to get some clarity and strengthen my relationship/conversation with God. I think its a good thing that you realize that you are not ready to participate...better to know before going in than to start and perhaps quit midway. Of course, just my opinion.

When I look at the video of the "interviews" she seems very detached, almost vacant. I'm no expert but she appears to be on some type of drug. Now that's no excuse but drugs can make you do a lot of things you wouldn't in your right mind. I hope that for this child's sake (yes she is 19 but she is still a child in my opinion) God intervenes and her family is there to assist when she realizes she has made a huge mistake. Prayed the first time I heard about it and praying now....just sad. On a lighter note....makeup on the butt would have gone along way.

I love poetry...its my first love when it comes to writing. So I'm always excited when I read new pieces. Most of my favorite wet wednesdays are in poetic form, so please do keep them coming that way. I will answer one question: How important is sexual energy? It is extremely important. You can have a friendship, trust, communication, common goals, etc. but if you don't have that sexual energy/attraction then ya'll might as well just be friends...IMO

I always figured that I would end up with a black man. I never discriminated but it just seemed that the men i was attracted to were black like me. My fiance is dominican and something about him just fit right for me. My son is bi-racial (hispanic and black). When he was young he would say that he was white (because he was extremely light) but now that he is older he understands that he is hispanic/black. Kind of a double negative in this country but we deal. We both have to be aware that we come from completely different backgrounds and cultures. There is a really funny story involving greens that I won't get into. But needless to say I forgot that greens aren't necessarily a staple in dominican households. LOL I suppose when it comes down to it, you just don't know who God intends for you and what their nationality will be. If you truly want to have love in your life and someone who honestly love and cares for you, then you may have to broaden your horizons a bit. Just my opinion.
