If May had won an overall majority we would have been left with her deal which is 85% this deal. for all the sound and fury all that happened is that the party is splitting and enriching the liberal democrats and snp as a result. Was all this really worth it. No deal was never going to happen so we have wasted a lot to get not very far.

Brino? The deal Boris got is a redo of the May deal in fact 85% the same! Taking no deal off the table got us this deal. Hammond did great service to the party loyal to the country over party. Hero really...

We are way past the expenses scandal level of reputations damage. That was handled by getting rid of loads of mps who had acted wrongly. This is so much more problematic. The people have now seen just how poor the Cali relationship is, just how nasty and weasly politics is in general. It all plays in to the anti democrats who are there online to tell you how awful a Democratic system. The small mercy is that now people are aware of how delicate democracy is. The conservatives have got to get back to being a party who want to reform institutions and not over turn them. They should start with the workings of the House of Commons. Then move on to getting a much broader range of people to get into politics in the first place. How about limiting the number of MPs who can sit for unlimited amounts of time- twenty year max terms for half of MPs.

No one in parliament wants to take responsibility for leaving even though they voted for a referendum. No wonder we are in a mess.
