YAY, CAIT!!! *flings confetti and soft pillows again*

You make me want to read this book you have written. It sounds very interesting, indeed.

Yes... yes, I must get back to my writing...

Yes, I am writing by hand!! I've tried typing first drafts and... I've failed more times than I wish to recall. (What's difficult? Is there something about BB #3 that would be hard because I'm writing longhand?)
Nonsense! I'm sure your books have at least a little sense every now and then. xD

I may do this. But I won't post it until the end of the month (I hope to be done or very close by then).
Word count: 3000. Not so great, but I also started this book before NaNo so I could use NaNo to finish it. (Total word count is ~21k!).
NaNo is being tough on me, but I'm okay with it. My goal is to finish my novel, not write 50k I can't use.
Lots and lots of coffee has been consumed. But there has been an appalling lack of chocolate around here!!!

Ooh. I would definitely go with Maggie Stiefvater, too. Or Madeleine l'Engle. She wrote books that couldn't be catergorized into children's books or teen books (YA didn't even exist when Wrinkle in Time was published!). She wrote what she wanted, even though people couldn't figure it out. She tackled big issues like good vs. evil, prejudice, death, growing up, all that stuff, and she did without being preachy. She wrote fun, home-y stories.

Short stories are awesome, but I seldom write or read them.

As for spirals... I love spirals! And spiral bound notebooks. And Spiral-Bound blogging.

NaNo has been so in starting. Less than 1000 words written so far...

Indeed. Regurgitated letters everywhere.

Word-vomit... *shudder*. What a way with words you have, Cait. xD

I guess it's... yeah, you're right. It depends on what kind of life you want to lead as to how much you post. I think ultimately, it's a balance. The less "word-vomit" (as you so elegantly put it) we have, the better.

So. I have Twitter, which I use to promote my blog sometimes. I've only ever posted one thing on Pinterest from my blog (though I do use it as my gif source and I did have a blog post go semi-viral that someone posted on it). I don't use my goodreads for blogging. And... that's it.

I've thought about getting Tumblr, because I sometimes have tiny thoughts that aren't quite expended enough for whole blog posts and Instagram would be neat for book pics, but other than that, I have no real interest in other social sites.

OH! I forgot-- I have Google+. It used to be like a mini blog, but now I use it just for blog promotion.

As for advice on social media... be careful not to divulge anything too personal. Too many people are too light with social sites and next thing you know, everyone knows where you live, what medication you're on, and who your ex-boyfriend was three years ago.

And... that's enough thoughts for now. xD

Awesome post, Cait!

The whole thing with the stalking... that's insane. Just insane.

On to more fun topics, I am obsessed with The Raven Boys (I really, really, REALLY want to read The Dream Thieves, but I'm holding off just a bit longer) and the Jack Blank trilogy by Matt Myklusch (MG about superheroes. So fun!)
