Growing up we blew tons of stuff up in fields, as lots of people who grow up in the country do, and I am sure some of what we did wasn't entirely legal, but we got our kicks without ever considering doing any harm or damage to any person, animal or building and certainly not a school. There is a big difference between "long-term interest in explosive devices" , which I agree most guys have when growing up, and taking a pipe bomb to school.

Do you feel left out because they don't make a plow for a prius?? Part of living up here is being prepared, whether it be snow, fire or something else.. We have a unimog, may as well use it.

Wow.. We live at the top of sugarloaf, over a mile from any road the county plows and my kid was at school on time. We got 3 feet of snow and it was even deeper in the drifts.. We prepared the night before, plugged in the big diesel unimog plow so it would start, got up extra early the next morning, fed the horses and then plowed all the way to sugarloaf rd. At this point the county had plowed, sugarloaf rd had half an inch of slush on it, no different than any other snow storm. We drove to school, canyon was a little slick but was constantly being plowed, again no different than any other storm, I did errands in town, which had almost zero snow on the main roads, and went home again to work.. She caught the bus home and it arrived perfectly safe, just a few minutes late, with chains on. I picked her up in the plow and we plowed the roads again while going home as a favor to others who live up here.

The alternative was to stay home and complain about it. I really don't see the big deal, we live in CO, it snows here. Be prepared, deal with it yourself rather than making every problem somebody else's responsibility, if you can't deal with it, don't live here. Seriously, if you can't get about for something benign like going to school you aren't going to get out for an emergency and you shouldn't expect they can get to you either.

I don't need to check my math, I pointed out the same thing as you. Why does the article say a rise of 0.2% when in fact its 9%. A 0.2% rise is about a penny.

Check your math.... Office Depot shares rose 46 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $5.48

We don't have to do it for cars.. I have a couple of old snow plow trucks, no title, no insurance, no nothing, nobody knows I own them. You could buy them from me without any paperwork, you give me cash and take the truck, no questions asked. Why would guns be any different given there are already 300+ million unregistered guns in the US
