Well, there is only a 20-30% chance that Polis is a fool. But, that should be enough to remove him from Congress.

Commentary Magazine : The Obama Backfire

Roger, please understand the topic before making silly comments. The only way to defund the whole ObamaCare deal is to repeal ObamaCare. However, the last CR contained funding for ObamaCare that was not in the original legislation. The Republicans do not want to continue that additional funding in this CR. That is as clear as I can be. If you still do not understand it, well, there is nothing more I can do or at least am willing to do.

Still Sorry for you Rodger. But ACA may be the law, but any new funding for this pack of lies which is ObamaCare still has to go through the House. They are choosing not to fund anything that was not funded in the original bill. So, ObamaCare may be the law, but where it is short on funding, it needs new appropriations. I do think, Rodger, that you are confused. The Republicans are not trying (right now) to repeal ObamaCare. They are trying to not throw additional funding down the rat hole. I suggest you educate yourself on what is being fought over. It is additional funding that needs to be appropriated annually.

Silly Roger. The House may have voted for ObamaCare, but Pelosi lost the House because of those votes. The Republicans took control with an anti ObamaCare message, so it is beyond stupid to think they should just roll over because the Pelosi House passed it. In fact, all these votes Reid is forcing his caucus to take may well end up costing him his Senate majority leader post. Besides, Roberts only ruled the mandate involved a tax, not a penalty. I think he is wrong because if it is a tax, it is an unapportioned tax which is unconstitutional. He was not asked to rule on any other part of ObamaCare, so to say it was approved by the Supreme Court is a bridge way too far. In fact, the Supreme Court did rule the whole Medicaid threat was "not approved".

Agreed. And, by the time we get to 2014 elections, the hot buttone will not be the debt ceiling or the CR, it will be how the candidate voted on ObamaCare. And, this intransigence by Obama and Reid is forcing red state Senators up fo relection to vote for ObamaCare. That is not such a good place to be.

The Heritage Foundry : Senator Feinstein to Homeland Security: Stop Enforcing Immigration Law

What a strange position. A sitting legislator is advocating that laws be ignored. Can I ignore laws I don't like, too. That should be impeachable and Feinstein should resign. What is the point of having her as a legislator?

OK, Conservatives can easily point to the availability of drugs causing more addiction. Addiction causes more crime. There are valid reasons to prohibit drugs. That does not mean that prohibition is necessarily good, but it is not self-righteousness as you suppose. Does anyone really think drug addiction is a good thing?

But so many of these New Yorkers move to Florida and vote for the same idiotic policies that destroyed New York State. We need a 10 year residency requirement before these "immigrants" can vote in state or local elections. Or, maybe we need "reeducation camps" for them. Seriously, though, it is very frustrating to watch people move from failing states and then wonder why they can't get all the "free stuff" they got before.

Lefty's like to pull out a name and blame that name for all the trouble. Are you sure the problem is not the Koch brothers? In any case, if someone wants to run on a "no tax" pledge and seeks Norquist's endorsement, then we expect him to honor his pledge just as we expect any politician (except Obama) to honor his pledge. Your problem is not with Norquist. Your problem is with us, the great unwashed, who want to fight any tax increases and in fact lower the scope and cost of government.

I would add, too,Georg, that it is much cheaper to bury when the housing is being built rather than to come back later and do it. Second, buried wires are not without their own set of problems. For example, it is much harder to find a break in the wire and the wired could be flooded and shorted.
