Oh man, I'm not a very big fan of second person, I've always found it awkward and irritating for some reason. I actually decided not to read this based on the premise itself...it didn't intrigue me at all. I can't handle books based only on relationships, and for a book set in pre-historic times, it seems like such a waste, doesn't it? Bwah. Also, the hype! THE HYPE. I'm avoiding hyped books completely :P Thanks for the review, Val, I'm staying far away from this one :P

Thanks so much for your review, Val! I was about to pick this up in March as a part of my personal challenge to clear some backlist titles, but now I'm on the fence. Life's too short to read 3 star books and all that :P Also, what is Steampunk. No seriously. Tweet at me. I want to know. You're the best :*

Honest to God, no matter how hard I try, I can never get into reincarnation. Science fiction YES, reincarnation NOPE. So I completely understand that it turned you off the book. Bryan sounds kind of like a...wild card, I guess, so I suppose he may have been fun to read. This is a great, great review, Val :D

Aww man :( 30 pages wow that's really sad. I'm really excited for this series and the third book that's slated for release this year! I was actually waiting for the entire series before I could start reading BUT looks like I'm going to have to try reading this much much earlier! Here's hoping your next read is better :)

So. I'm reading this book right now. I'm like, only 1% in but holy hell, this book sounds fantastic! Going to rehab only to win a boy over does sound kind of desperate (not to mention infinitely stupid) but I'd really like to read it from Lola's POV and see what she has to say about this :)

I loved this book too! I wasn't a huge fan of the Delirium series, so it was an amazing feeling to finally have a Lauren Oliver book I loved :) I completely understand your struggle with Dara. Overall, she was a brat but I liked her more than Nick too! Also, the ending! Left me breathless and completely stunned! I'm so glad you liked this book, Kaitlin :)

I have to admit--I'm totally judging this book by its cover! And its synopsis ;P I love that the book had a message that is both relevant these days and necessary forever. I'm bummed that you didn't love the book, but based on your review I'd like to read and see for myself :) Thanks so much, Kaitlin :D

I've never really read The Warrior Heir or Across the Universe but I've definitely heard about them. Lot of mixed reviews on Goodreads :P
