It's beyond me why anyone even bothers reading the New York Times anymore, let alone even pay for their paper.

I suppose it's all part of the intellectual masturbation movement. It order to appear intellectual for the sake of looking intellectual, one must copy all other intellectual's supposed intellectualism via mass shared intellectuality challenged non intelligent toilet paper with words to stimulate the empty intellectual's ego.

I'd like to go Galt but unfortunately mouths need to be fed.

Anyone willing to start their own Gulch and need an accountant/economist?

What am I thinking? The ignorance of many people has stunned me beyond belief. Many of my friends are bleeding heart liberals and I always avoided talking politics/economics with them as to preserve our friendship. Well, the gloves come off now - I'm starting by re-posting all the damning articles about the Failed One as to show them the err of their ways.

The other thing I'm thinking, and this will expose my nerdy-ness, is the awesome speech by Aragorn (nevermind that Viggo is a bleeding heart liberal) in The Return of the King. I guess you could relate it to the above point:

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you STAND! MEN OF THE WEST!

“I'm sure somebody thought it was a pretty funny joke..."

Um, no. I think someone thought this was a pretty straightforward message: Obama is done destroying this country.

My dad said it best:

"We live in a time where right is wrong and wrong is right."

Life is starting to feel more as if it were lifted from the pages of 1984, Atlas Shrugged, or any of the other prophetic books out there.

Ah, no problem...

The people who write the checks for our increasing government dependency is a job saved or created!

Er...??

My point exactly. I do not wish to act like that. It's just wrong on every level.

And don't get me wrong, I'll be as happy as the next person when this clueless community organizer is sent packing.

Terrible president or not, the office of the president deserves a little more respect than this.

I personally would have just made a sign with a quick message...

The standard leftist reply: Mr. Sowell is clearly a racist. Just look at all those ugly undertones about Obama having charisma.

As always, Mr. Sowell hit the nail right on the head.
