Reel translating to real, is it? Quite spooky!

Never knew of these stories before! Thanks for the share.
We still invite people to stay over, but they rarely do. Just as we rarely do, if we go to a different town where we have relatives. As a kid, I grew up away from my parents' relatives, but their friends would often drop by. Somehow the phrase "they're family friends" made us feel all grown up or something. On the other hand, now when I think of whom my son will call a "family friend" I look at my band of hooligans and feel, oh, we're not grown up "family friend" type at all!! :P

I have to admit: I read the blurb and I saw the thumbnail of Sherlock, so at first I thought you were ranting about Sherlock (which happens to be my favourite TV show). I thought OMG what happened to Kala :P

After reading, I realized, oh man, I agree with every word! All these saas bahu serials are regressive, and how! You know, honestly, when we were in school, there used to be a couple of realistic shows that my mom used to watch (don't remember any now) and some Indian sitcoms that my brother and I used to watch, which were genuinely funny (unlike some Comedy Nights or whatever shit comes on on TV these days) Until recently, I used to watch Dekh Bhai Dekh on Youtube to relive the memories :D

The cartoons are really dumb! I don't understand it, it's so stupid. If not, they're violent! It's so horrible that kids have to suffer (ok, they don't see it as suffering, but we as parents do!) all this crap! Gahhhhhhhh
*ok, I'm ending my rant*

Nice and descriptive post! This is really healthy for babies. My mom used to dry the bananas in the sun, powder them and send them over for my son when he was 4-5 months old. I also used to give him a porridge made of ragi, but he used to be more fond of this one :)
