This post hits right on what I have been discouraged by lately. I am definitely an active and involved follower, and I suppose that makes me expect that my followers are the same. Not everyone is, and that's ok! But thanks for sharing this because it reminds me that there ARE people out ther like me! I don't follow blogs that I don't want to read. That wouldn't make sense! :)

Oh what I wouldn't do for a day by a pool.....it is getting generally warmer here, but 60s is NOT as good as 70s. :)

Thanks for the info! I had been wondering about the BB creams everyone's talking about. I'll stick to my current routine! :)

That's great news, Ashley! When I was in high school, my aunt and uncle got divorced. She and my cousin (who is the same age as me) moved it with us for awhile. There were certainly ups and downs, but overly, there were many good times. :)

As I teacher, I thank you for spanking your child. lol Honestly, some kids DON'T need a swat on the butt. I was a generally good kid, but when I did get in trouble, I got a spanking. I knew that there was a consequence for my behavior. A LOT of kids run their homes, and they have trouble behaving at school. I knew that if I was in trouble at school, I would be in WAY more trouble when I got home. Many kids today don't have to worry about consequences when they get home, so the behaviors just repeat the next day.

I give you and Jake an A+ in parenting! :)

As you know, I'm not a mom, but I've really enjoyed reading these posts so far. It gives me a little perspective about kiddos that are not much younger than the ones I teach!

It's not fair to you to get hurt either. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it needs to be told. Doing so in a tactful way, as you do, is the best way. People will get over it eventually. :)
