Your listening sounds a lot like mine. I spend a lot of time cringing at the sounds coming from my son's room and wishing for some peace and quiet. I hope you can enjoy yours when it comes! :)

I also have some knitting/crocheting projects I'd like to accomplish. One sweater is still waiting from last year! :P I hope your projects are completed faster than mine seem to be. ;)

Oh, the pickle! I'm not sure where she got the idea, but my mother had one when we were teenagers, and she gave one to my husband and me after we got married. It's so random compared to the other things we hang on the tree, but it brings a giggle. :)

I love the story of your first Christmas tree as a married couple! What an amazing man you married, going to so much work to make you smile. :)

I'm very much in the Grinch camp when it comes to the commercialization of the holiday or the apparent spoiling of children who look up from presents to say "Is that it?" It's nice to know others also feel that frustration with the nonsense--it means there's hope for us yet.

Bueller: the perfect random thought. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
