<description>Thanks Pam.  I&amp;#039;ll email some information on a Tabata routine.  But 5 pounds isn&amp;#039;t much depending on how lean you are now and how long you have been trying to lose 5 pounds.  Normally I say that&amp;#039;s too much Tabata at 5 days per week as its pretty intense, if you are doing it easy have a look at the intensity, if you are fatigued at the end of the week then reduce it as &amp;quot;less is more&amp;quot; when it comes to weight training.  Paleo?Primal is essentially not a bad thing but I think they cut the carbs out too far but if it working for you go for it and yes the right amount of  Protein will help in muscle development.  Muscle definition I find comes from more traditional bodybuilders workout ( 4 to 5 exercises on muscle groups with 8-12 reps with 1-2 minute rests) and when you get lean this really stands out.   I would use Tabata to help lose weight but drop it back and change your program for definition.  Overall losing weight is mostly about DIET and if you are not losing weight the easiest is to look at your nutrition plan and revise that (try cycling calories or even intermittent fasting)  ...your current Gym routine isn&amp;#039;t bad and taking the 2 days off is a good idea to include. <description>Hi Tracey,  Sounds like Tabata is right up your alley! It&amp;#039;s an intense short burst of exercise that makes your heart really pump.  Tabata can be incorporated into any type of workout. All you need to do is keep basically to the format of 20 seconds  as many reps as possible then 10 sec rest for 8 sets as 1 circuit  But you can play around with it, the main idea is that it is High Interval training. I&amp;#039;m sure you will get creative with it.  I&amp;#039;ve even tried it with walking and seem to get a good workout that way.
