This place, and these photos; so spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing. I've looked at them all so many times now, and I find myself wishing desperately for a teleporter; but your writings and photos are a wonderful compromise until teleporters exist! :D

Thank you again. One day I'll visit these amazing places.

I think it's sad that someone thought it was pretentious that you are arming your dog with tools that will increase your bond, increase her ability to be calm and confident in new situations and therefore act with dignity, enjoyment, and have goals to aim towards, giving you and her a united purpose together. I think that's not pretentious, that's very meaningful.

I love what you do. :)

The one you think is a schnauzerxlab looks like a purebreed orange spinone italiano (pretty much the only colour in WA) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinone_Italiano - a type of gundog.

Huzzah all the dog socialising! :)

Oh beautiful; I can't even decide which one I like more. I do love rainbows very much, especially when you start to get faint double and even triple rainbows. Thank you for sharing these gorgeous shots! :D

I wish I knew of a good Dad, but I've never met one, I've never had one (and subsequent father figure wasn't one either). Your article made me tear up, because I honestly just didn't know, for decades, that fathers are supposed to love and support their children. I just *didn't know.* That said, my history involves childhood sexual assault and abuse (not from my father, but he didn't exactly put himself up as 'the guy I could talk to about it, and *still hasn't*), and so 'bad fathering' always just seemed so insignificant to everything else going on.

Until of course I realised that I wouldn't have the PTSD and other disorders that I do now if he - and others - had stepped up to the plate.

I love the idea of training a dog out of sleep startle by having it rain food; what a brilliant idea!!!

It's always the things that seem so simple when you explain them, that are so genius. :D
