Ron Edmondson : Is Work a Blessing or a Curse?

Great thoughts! I strive to enjoy my work no matter what I do, from my job as a minister, to my chores at the house, like yard work. My goal is to do everything I do as if I'm doing it for Christ.

Ron Edmondson : 5 Tips to Write Better Informational Emails

One of the things I shoot for in my emails, (and in blog comments too...) is keeping it concise. If I can't say it effectively in a few words, I know I'll lose someone. Because I get lost in the details too. (There, I let you off the hook.)

Ron Edmondson : 7 Must Haves to Lead Genuine Organizational Change

Passion. I think, in order to be an effective agent for change, you need to be passionate about the vision you have. I think that is implied in much of what you said here, but I think it bears stating directly. Great post! Thanks!

Wow! I consider myself a conniseuer of coffee. I roast and grind my own. I can't imagine having to give it up like you had to. I take the occasional fast from it, and mix in a lot of tea as well (today is a green tea day for me), so I'm not apparently to the level of addiction that you were. Thanks for sharing. It was enlightening to read this!

Ron Edmondson : 5 Easy Steps to Begin a Daily Quiet Time

Ah, I love posts like this one! I posted my own set of tips for getting the most out of a quiet time. You can see it here: http://www.jeffrandleman.com/tips-for-becoming-mo... Th eone thing I forgot to mention there is that I love a good cup of coffee while I read. Right now, it's an WEthiopian bean that I home roast, and grind and brew less than 24 hours later. The perfect cup of coffee for the perfect book, during the perfect part of my day.

I agree with Dave. AT&T fits the description perfectly. And on the other side of my coin, I love my hosting company. I use BlueHost (http://www.bluehost.com). They have the best customer service on the planet!

JeffRandleman.com : Going Paperless Can Be Easy!

I think it will! It's an amazing product, and if you don't mind a completely unnoticable ad in the bottom corner, it's free. Give it a try. And check out the Evernote blog, where they have tons of ideas for how to use it effectively. I keep a notebook of blog-related stuff and it's an easy place to keep it all organized.

I'm excited, actually! I've never used OneNote, so I can't compare. But I really like Evernote. The ebook is pretty comprehensive, covering all the basics. He shows how to put the software to work and be more effective because of it. And he gives several examples, such as contacts, recipes, photos, task management, and general filing, and for covert double agents. (Yes, it's actually in there.) I was a bit disappointed that it cost $25. I expected more for that, but I suppose it's pretty consistent with other ebooks out there. I'll be able to write it off, so it's ok for me. That said, I signed up on his affiliate program to sell it through my blog. :) We'll see how that goes.

I'm reading another one by Hoesel right now, called Elisha's Bones. So far, it's pretty good.
JeffRandleman.com : The Battle For A Biblical Worldview

Adam, I think a biblical worldview, by definition, has to be broad. It has to cover all parts of life. It's the lens through which you view everything! I've never written mine down, per se. But I filter everything I do through God's Word. However, I have a written philosophy of ministry: How my worldview applies to my ministry. This covers not just the how of ministry, but more importantly, the why. I include such things as a prayer focus, how I use my gifts, my response to the Great Commission and how I shape my ministry. I think this would make a great post. I've added this to my list of posts for next week. Hopefully, I can explain my philosophy so that it helps you out. Thanks for asking! I think this is a must topic for people in ministry to consider!

I really love mine! I hate that fact that I have to let it go. I recently purchased a MacBook Air. I love it too. But I have strictly regulated it to writing only. I don\\\'t want a lot of stuff on there that will distract me from my focus when I\\\'m writing chapters, blog posts, or whatever.
