She has been offered the floor on numerous occasions. The doors are always open. She will hopefully have her own column on Jujumama in the next month or so.

True. Crystal asked me to delete her comments from this post. I also asked her to 'consider' not posting comments to JujuMama Love Academy again. It's up to her whether she does or not; however, I probably will not delete her comments in the future.

Thanks for the comments LadyJ. As soon as I got back to Atlanta on Saturday night from MS a series of events happened. I need to write a separate post about it to do it any justice at all so I won't short change it here. Dinner at Crystal's house was great. It wasn't so formal like sitting around a table. We all sat in the family room and ate there. I really liked the energy of her and her family; plus, I like MS in general. No real vegetarian food there though, but the food was great. Her mom made two kinds of pies: pecan and pumpkin (or sweet potato - I always get those confused). The pecan pie was the best I ever had. It was made with fresh organic pecans grown in her mother's back yard and was nothing like I've ever had before. She would make millions on it.

For the record, I don't think anything is wrong with how you are or the way you approach life. If you are seeking a different type of connection with people I guess I can kinda understand that. But remember that you are loved and adored as you are. That is very evident.

Jujumama : Open Relationships Part III

Renee, No worries on the comment. I respect your opinion, your work, and your passion. I also respect the fact that every time you write something it brings something out of me and compels me to write and respond. Thanks for the on camera compliment :-) When I say someone should be in a "committed" relationship, I'm really trying to drive home the fact that there is a strong "relationship" element to open relating. It's not simply sleeping around. If you can't comfortably say you and your partner won't be and stay together according to your agreement (whatever that is) then its not a "relationship" because there is no predictability, mutual agreement, and accountability there. Any thing else is single people "playing the field" so to speak. And that's fine for folks who want to do it, but in our view it's not an open relationship. Yes jealousy is there along with all the other emotions and they will always be there. The point is not to get rid of jealously and emotions, but learn to control them so they can serve us as oppose to allowing them to control our lives. This is what ancient cultures used to practice a long time ago. When you see the sphinx in Kemet (ancient Egypt) it shows a human head on top of a lion's body; which acknowledges our animalistic nature and emotions but shows our cerebral cortex (human portion of our brains) is in control. It's what separates humans from animals. We both know what happens when emotions 'run' a relationship in any way (even for a short time) -- break-ups, saying hurtful things to the one's we love, sugar in the gas tank, checking each others phone, smashing the windows of your car, Steve McNair, gunshot wounds, keyed cars, stalkers, 66% infidelity, 55% divorce rate, and the list goes on. So all that said, I think we agree that emotions are their to serve us. The only question is how do we pull that feat off? That's what we are here to teach :-)
