Such a nice, heart warming tale, Kala. Indeed, festivals is so much about generosity and giving instead of consuming and buying. But, aren't we all just forgetting that part?
Ah what a lovely story. So thought provoking. I must share with my kids.
hehe This was really funny, Kala. I don't have trouble with following Google Maps. Many times I am the navigator when the husband drives. Earlier, when we had paper maps, I used to navigate back then too. But yes, sometimes Google Maps can be confusing as it takes you on really crappy routes just by virtue of taking lower time to destination. And yes then the good old roll the window down and ask works.
We never get any holidays no matter how much it rains. So the kids haven't experienced this at all. But yes, l wistfully remember some of those childhood rain chuttis and how exciting they were. Also poor weathermen. They seem to get it wrong most of the times. 😊
I am not that much of a sweet fan unless you are talking chocolate especially the dark kind. Due to their massive calories, I don't eat too many desserts. But I understand your angst, sweet lover. 😊
This was so scary, Kala! God, I had goosebumps. I was going there was another reason why that stalker was stalking her. Very well written!
Hehe Kala. You had me in splits. I have to say that there are so many lists, it's difficult to keep track of them. Not to mention awards. Every person is starting their own award. Chalo theek hai! And then magazine features on magazines no one has heard of! As a dutiful blogger, I congratulate the person because they are happy. Else like so much else in blogging, these are unregulated too. I loved your humour in this one.
Okay that was a fun account. So many things I could relate with since I walk regularly. Your post gives me an idea to jot down my own musings though my neighbours might not entirely like it. Why more Indians don't walk is because of the stifling weather and not too many good walking tracks. And my kids walk regularly with us along with the husband and Coco. We are called the walking family.
This was quite funny, Kala. My experience observing maamis is very small but your account is bang on.
This is amazing Kala! I am feeling so envious of you. I loved reading about the Rabbari women and all the embroidery work.
