The one in the last panel is in the mirror. Otherwise the mirror would have to have grown a lot since the first panel.

That is correct. They lay eggs in the dirt everywhere, and they can't climb atrum trees.

Making an About page is on my to-do list, so I can have basic established knowledge about the world in one place. There's more of it than I realized, though.

My usual method is a variation on "the lost love" which I call "the balance beam" in which I pretend I just wanted to play on the curb anyway. I guess it works better in suburbia because of the little grass verge that allows for a polite separation between person X and that weirdo who is walking on the curb.
