All the time. My husband is the calm one out of the two of us... he lets my son be the daredevil he wants to be. I imagine the ambulance, the wheelchair, the coffin. I don't even know what I am going to do when it comes to sports, climbing trees, driving... I've got a long life ahead.

Good luck with the emails! I'm a media assistant that has worked for a couple of bloggers... and, let me tell you, I know what your email box looks like! Folders are AMAZING. Delete ones you aren't interested in... unsubscribe to any and all that are silly. And, use your email rules to file out emails that you keep getting and can't really unsubscribe to! Also, Unroll Me is a great app that will check your email and send you back a list of all your subscriptions. It then lets you just flick off which ones you wish to unsubscribe to! And, if you can afford it (they are often not too expensive) have someone help!

I am with you on part of your post. Our lives don't stop running when problems like this happen. However, for some people... it did. And, while I don't feel that EVERY post should be about the disaster... I also know that it is just good PR sense to disconnect automatic tweets and facebook updates and to look at what a tweet/update will look like to those affected by the disaster. For instance... one of my favorite bloggers had an update that included a picture of a really cute print that read (and was the caption of the photo) "My Love Goes Boom." It went out around the same time as the disaster... of course she didn't know about it at the time. And, thankfully, people were kind when pointing out that she probably take it down. As for sponsors... it just isn't going to really promote a sponsor to be tweeted/updated around a disaster. It will most likely be overlooked.

That being said... I'm TOTALLY with you on how people have REACTED to things like that. People are scared and therefore often lash out with anger. But, in times like this we should be more supportive and much more forgiving.

I'm so glad I read this post.... I have a toddler and have been *thinking* about kiddo number two in the next couple of years. But, I just can't even imagine how to do pregnancy with a kid in tow! Great tips here!

Great idea... may have to try it with my kiddo! Possibly use painters tape to avoid tape stickiness?

I love it... and, am so jealous about you getting to be on a panel with some of the bloggers I've been following for FOREVER. I did a double take to see someone I actually know IRL sitting near people I've blog stalked for so long. ;-)

Thanks for the tips on the topic. It is something I've been interested in for a LONG time!
