I recently (like just in the last year) skipped reviewing a few books for the first time. I don't read AS much as a lot of people in the blogging world (around 50-70 books per year), so for the last 5 years I've reviewed everything. But I had a few books this year that I didn't write the review right away and then I couldn't come up with words to review them because I didn't remember that much about them or my feelings toward them!! So, I totally get what you're saying. As soon as I'm done reading, I go onto the Goodreads app and write at least a few sentences about my feelings while they're fresh and usually that is enough to kickstart a real review when it comes time.

You're not alone with MY LADY JANE. I was expecting LOL funny-- and I was not finding it funny. Silly? Yes. Funny? Not at all.

I'm curious about Letters to the Lost. I've heard mixed things, but I still feel like it sounds like a "me" book!!

Ehhh I kind of hate friend drama-- I either want the whole book to be about a super messed up friend relationship, or I want there to be healthy, good girl relationships. Anything in between is overdone for me. But I still want to try this book because JAPAN!! And it sounds like a cute romance (even though I'm also not the biggest romance person).

I LOVE your spin on this topic!! I'd love to have more of Bellatrix's backstory even though UGHHH I hate her so much!!! I think my favorite parts of the HP series were when Harry went into the pensieve and seeing Tom Riddle's backstory, so yeah, I'd be down for more of that stuff!

I'm surprised Girl Against the Universe has less than 2000 ratings!! It had a lot of hype when it came out! Well, it's still a baby book, so it probably will get over that at some point this year... I think anyhow?? Also I've heard good things about The Smell of Other People's Houses AND I love multiple POV's... but that title puts me off for some reason....

I totally know what you mean about HP!! I just recently reread them and it was SO weird how I felt differently about different books! Like the first time around I wasn't a fan of Goblet of Fire... and that is hands down most people's fave book. When I reread it, I totally didn't know why I wasn't feeling it, but it's a really strong book in the series. And totally the turning point from kids books to YA. Order of the Phoenix was my fave the first time around, but IDK if I would say that now :)

Beautiful Disaster and The Edge of Never are on my NO WAY IN HELL List. IDK what I would think if I reread TFIOS. Part of me thinks I would still love it, but when I saw the movie I didn't even cry!! So maybe I'm a little more jaded to sad books than I used to be? Great list!
