Love your posts. I'm kind of like you when it comes to blogging, meaning I'm definitely not an everyday blogger! Who cares? Blog whenever you want to. There's no point in doing something voluntarily when you don't want to do it! And just so you know, next time we (your readers) expect some pictures of all that wine drinking and love making. Haha!
I wish I could tell you that none of this will matter once high school is over, but you probably know that. It still doesn't change the fact that you're in high school right now. I didn't like high school at all, even with friends. Haha! Anyway, my best advice is to just act as comfortable as you can around people, smile, and talk! Talking is a big one. If you don't talk to people, they won't feel like they know you. Try not to worry too much about it. Before you know it, it'll be over.
By the way, I agree about 2% yogurt. Yogurt with a little bit of fat is a lot creamier than nonfat!
You and Woody are adorable. I still like my fiance too, even though it's been over a year now. Who woulda thunk? By the way, I'm coming over to eat fried egg, cheese, and jam sandwiches with you. I hope you don't mind. And I hope Woody doesn't mind if I eat half his nachos.
People (in real life, not online) always seem to think I'm healthier than I am. I'm very similar to you! I believe balance is the key to happiness in life. I love fruits and vegetables, I buy organic when possible, and I exercise almost every morning, but I'm not perfect! I can sit at my computer for way too long, I looove a good bowl of ice cream, I put a heaping spoonful of honey in my tea every morning, I choose cow's milk over soy or almond, I have days when not a single vegetable passes my lips, and I slather butter on my toast. Nobody is a super human! I don't drink soda, but that's because I don't like it. Kombucha is really the only carbonated drink I enjoy regularly. Anyway, I love that you wrote this post. I'm happy you commented on my blog, because it led me to yours!
To be completely honest, when bloggers write about family members, most of the time I don't read the entire post because I didn't actually know the person. But I read this entire thing, because from the very beginning, it seemed like a really special post. I love that picture of you and your mom. My mom is my best friend, and I love her more than anything in the world. I was thinking of her the entire time I was reading this. You celebrated your mom beautifully, Alaina Rose! (Do you go by your full name?) I'm sure your mom watched you the entire day with a huge smile on her face. I know just by the things you said about her that she was a really wonderful mother.
I've been following Meg's blog, which just led me to yours. These look so damn good! I love baking things in the oven because it means minimal dishes. I'm definitely going to make these. My fiance would totally eat them too, which is a big plus. Thanks, girl! I guess I should also say thank you to Meg for the original recipe! I'll be trying them both. :)
By the way, just to formally introduce myself, I'm Jen.
I love how moderate you are! It's always taken effort for me to be a moderate person, because I naturally have such an extreme, all-or-nothing personality. My mom always told me that moderation is best way to live. Having a little bit of this and a little bit of that makes me the happiest. I also find that I feel the healthiest when I live more moderately. Yoga and beer in the same day...go for it, girl!
I'm jealous of all the granola! I need to try the chocolate flavor made by Enjoy Life. Love that brand! Your recent eats look delicious, by the way. That salad beast sounds amazing! Also amazing is the "love yourself" message. All girls (and probably a lot of guys too!) need to hear it more often. We don't give ourselves enough credit for the people we are. I love that I found your blog. It's quickly become a favorite of mine!
All the food looks wonderful! Even though all the restaurant food looks amazing, I think I want your egg/beans/tortilla breakfast the most! It looks delishhhhh.
I love when little kids say things that just really hit you in a special way. They see life so clearly sometimes! By the way, you're one of those gorgeous girls who can totally pull off dreads and make them look beautiful. Just thought I'd let you know! And about feeling like you haven't been staying on top of blogging...that's life! Spend your time doing whatever you feel like doing. It's summer! :)
