Well-Heeled, With a Mission : Does It Matter Who Makes More Money in a Relationship?

I have always wanted a guy who makes at least as much money as I make. The My husband makes about $20k more than me each year. When we started dating, I was making more than him, but I knew that he had the potential to make much more. The reasons are mainly what your friend said. I just don't want the pressure of being the breadwinner. :)

It is gorgeous! I think you did well, considering you are being so sensible with other aspects of your wedding planning. Congratulations!

Well-Heeled, With a Mission : Keeping Track of How Much We Spend: A November Experiment

I am like you, don't really keep track of my spending. I tracked my spending for a few months and then decided on my budget. As long as I kept having money left over after each paycheck I was happy. I think I will do that for November too. It will be easy for us since we both use the same debit card for everyday purchases and the recurring bills go to a credit card that we pay off each month. Since your rent is about the same as ours and we are DINKs too, I am going to guess you spend about the same as us - $3500 this month. I hope you don't break my heart by saying that's a ridiculously large number for 2 people :)

Well-Heeled, With a Mission : Should You (Do You) Tip For Bad Service?

I think about this a lot too! I agree with you that everybody expects tips these days. I go to a hairstylist who rents a small room from this salon suite. She does not have anyone working for her, yet I need to tip her when I get my hair cut. I often wonder why they can't just increase the cost and be done. The worst part of tipping is the second guessing every time - am I tipping too much or too less? She didn't fill up my water, so can I leave her less? We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner, so do we tip 20% on that too? I used to tip 20% earlier, but now I am scaling back to 15-20% depending on service. I didn't choose to work in a line of work where I depend on my clients to make up for what my employer isn't paying me

Well-Heeled, With a Mission : Do We Need a Wedding Videographer?

Hmm I don't know how helpful this is, but I am going to say Yes! The reason I say this is because of family. My aunt and uncle had their wedding videos where my sister and I and other cousins are toddlers and little kids. Anytime there is a family gather we watch that video together because it is so much fun. So I say go for it.

Give Me Back My Five Bucks : The cost of adult braces

Yikes, that's a lot of money. I need something for my teeth too and I had no idea it would cost that much. I think I might bite the bullet and get it this year too.
Give Me Back My Five Bucks : Boot Camp!

Wow I've always wanted to try a boot camp before, but they are sooo expensive. Also I am in a 1 year contract with my gym and so I can't just stop for sometime.
Give Me Back My Five Bucks : Rear ended!

That's too bad! But if the other guy rear ended you, shouldn't his insurance have to pay for your repairs and loaner car? I am pretty sure you are due a rental car for the time your car is in the shop!
Give Me Back My Five Bucks : How are you tracking your spending?

Well I use Excel and I find it really easy since I created the worksheets for me. I have briefly used Quicken Online, but it seems to be gone now. I haven't really used Quicken before so I don't know how good it is. But if you feel it would be good, I say make the switch.
Wow that's great. Hubby has a MacBook Pro and while we don't know any designing, it is a great computer. It really is awesome that you plan and save to buy something. If I were you, I would just go and buy it, especially if I had some justfications like contract work :-) My recent post The He and His Debt

Well 15 months is a pretty short ride. But I had the same problem with my 96 Corolla and I ended up buying a new car. $500 credit towards a new bicycle sounds awesome! You would be able to get a really good bike. I used to drive cheapo bikes and it made me love my love for biking.
Oooh! :-) I honestly don't know what I would do if my family found out about my blog. But then my blog is so new, I don't really know what I am doing anyway :-) So you are going to "out" yourself next month? That should be interesting.
