I'm pretty sure it's that the new pigments became available and everyone went "Oh wow - people will love these!" -- I'm all for it when there are more affordable copies or more accessible copies of things!

My only wish is that Orly hadn't trumpeted their collection as 'something brand new no one's ever done it ooh wow look how special!' because it really looks false when 4 different companies end up with a dupe of one of their colours and the other 5 have dupes or near-dupes available.
