It was a great change in pace to read about food in a way that is fun and light hearted instead of the more serious facts, history, or personal memoirs that usually populate food literature. And, I also found it a perfect type of reading when traveling on transportation (planes, buses, trains...!)

I definitely picked and chose what chapters I read... for instance I don't foresee myself making much in the way of Sabayon or Quenelles... I read all the ones on champagne though :X
