hmm, I don't know how this would fit into the article but its something I've learned the past few months of relfection. Patience. And I'm not talking about being passive. I'm talking about realizing that certain things take time to brew. So if you are really keen on getting that thing that you want, realize that sometimes, its a process... :)

FinerMinds : From Confucius To Carl Jung - What Is Personal Development?

Great question. For me, it is... 1) learning to truly understanding oneself - strengths, weaknesses, innate talents, learning to listen to intuition, re-learning what is truly important to me 2) Bringing out my best self - when I understand myself better, I treat myself better, I know how to deal with myself better, I deal with life and others better.... and I start making decisions based on the best of what I want and can genuinely offer the world 3) Giving back to the world - because I have a better understanding of who and I am and what I want, my life and time will be spent things I can love and be passionate about. When there is purpose, there is great output. And where there is great output, there are people who genuinely benefit. :) --------- Like many (hi everyone :D), I'm in the process of all this. What makes it exciting, despite certain set backs is knowing that "hey, I'm realizing things now that I didn't before and I'm asking myself questions now that I was afraid to ask myself before. Questions such as - what is important to me......really?" I think Kevin Spacey really hit the spot - "There is not prize out there. The only prize is this one. And what you feel. And what you want to accomplish." :) Sending some love to Finerminds! <3 <3 <3

FinerMinds : "Hey Teacher, Leave Us Kids Alone!" - Education Or Indoctrination?

I think she drives a good point. And I think she is very brave. But I also think she should give some credit to the current educational After all, its that very system that also helped cultivate her sharp mind and provided the tools to help develop such eloquence at a young age (Yes, she is very eloquent don't you think?). To a certain extent, there are of elements in the current educational system which will benefit future students (we do have to study math, english, and science). BUT at the same time, yes, I strongly strongly agree that there's gotta be a change in the way the educational system looks at, develops, and evaluates students. My high school self knew this. I remember having a conversation with my teacher on the educational system. One of the things I wanted back then were classes, or "free electives" where students were allowed to take classes more akin to their interests and talents - whether they were offered by the school or not. They do it now in my alma mater.

FinerMinds : There Is No Prize 'Out There' - Kevin Spacey's Words Of Wisdom

I cant never watch this video enough. Its simple but it drives the point home.... It makes one think about why one is doing what he/she is doing. "What do you want to accomplish?" Its not about titles, or the bigger paycheck, or whatever other perks that come with an endeavor that makes a person.. This is a really awesome vid.

FinerMinds : From Faking It To Frankenstein - Five Tips To Maximize Your Motivation

I love this guy. I've been following his blog since I discovered his blog through finer minds. I like how he makes it very easy to relate to what he says. I like his straight forward approach. When the approach is a bit new age, I sometimes have a hard time applying it. This, as with most of his blog posts, hits the spot.

Yay! The new layout is out! :D *clap clap clap* Now that I'm actually using it, got a better feel of it , and that I've been browsing around for a while this is what I gotta say... 1) Its easier to see the latest topics (a lot less scrolling down) 2) It feels cleaner 3) I don't remember if the bottom part on the landing page was the same as before but I like the featured programs part (I'm interesting in purchasing a program, I just dunno which one yet) 4) I like the new "you might be interested in..." . Pictures instead of text grabs my attention more :) 5) Archives drop down menu - i like! hehe. I can't say there's anything I don't like about it. :)

FinerMinds : Scrubbing Bubbles and Saturation Snaps - A Quick Meditation to Recharge You Anywhere, Any Time!

I've tried a number of meditations and i'm looking forward to trying this one. I am quite sensitive to the environment around me and I do have to deal with people's attitudes everyday that are but the opposite of "inspiring, encouraging, empowering". Sometimes I'm affected. Sometimes I'm not. But more often than not.. I am.... and it sucks. I've been learning now to block off the negative energy not too long ago and I feel I'm improving. I'm going to try this and let you know how it is for me. :)

FinerMinds : An Interview Just To Get Into Kindergarten?! - Sir Ken Robinson Argues On The Crisis Of Human Talent

Yes I agree! The Secret doesn't contradict Christianity... rather it works along side it! We are blessed with talents, intellect, the ability to think and learn.... and most importantly, the ability to choose. I'm not a devout Catholic (I lean towrads the liberal side). Rather, I believe that at the core, all major religions are based on values that are meant to guide people in becoming their best selves. The problems that arise from the different doctrines are another story.... The Secret also aims to help us realize our best selves and live the best possible lives... and it helps us realize that we are indeed capable. The reason why I emphasize this is that I have some people close to me who are devout Christians and shunned The Secret like it was created as a mockery to Christian values. Lisa is so darn awesome and powerful. I could feel her conviction and the positive force from here. I like how she dares to ask the painful questions and makes you face your sh*t head on. I love how she's helping American teens take responsibility for their actions. Lastly, I liked how she strongly emphasized that The Secret actually affirms Christian values and teachings from the Bible. I'm sharing this.

FinerMinds : Seeing Within - Intuition for Greater Self-Knowledge

This is an awesome article. I agree. I'm little by little relearning how to trust my intuition. There was a time when I kept denying that little voice in my heart that echoes in my head. When I started listening to it moree and let fear and all the rationalization take the sidelines, good.. no.. great things happen. All I need now is to master how to get over my fear and continue following my instincts.

FinerMinds : Discover How To Live Intuitively For A Better And Better Future

Thank you for this webinar. I just saw this today. What makes it more powerful is that Vishen himself talks about his experiences. Funny enough, when I look back to the year i began working and study the ups and downs I've experienced, its quite...odd how I did get what I asked for. I can't speak for every experience but there are some parts of my life where in it was very apparent how intuition came to play and how visualization did get me to where i wanted (and i got exactly what i had asked for ). i do wonder, was that indeed intuition at play? Was that indeed law of attraction? It really did seem so. Some experience were down right weird. I'm trying to look back and see what I had done right during those times that helped me manifest what I manifested. I'd really really want to purchase the Silvia Method.... i'll manifest the funds needed for this.

FinerMinds : Where You Goin’ Girl? - How to Find Love In The Most Important Place

She's got a powerful message! And she's right on the money too. I'm a girl and I tend to take care of everything and everyone before me - work, friends, especially my family. And yes, I do feel exhausted - physcially, mentally, and emotionally. Aside from that, we have to deal with others' expectations and the messages we women are bombarded with through family, media and advertising... it can get quite crazy. I want to give this woman a thank you hug. Another point that really got my attention was what she said about "40 days". I'm sure its been mentioned on FinerMinds more than once that in order to create change, one must consistently do something for 40 days. i don't know why it didn't register in my head before but it certainly did today. And I quote: “Yogis, metaphysicians and brain scientists all agree that if you can do anything for 40 days, you can change your habits and change your brain patterns” -Christine Arylo
