Run parklover, run! I LOVE running and got very grumpy when I couldn't run during pregnancy due to having SPD.
On the very rare occasions I get to go on a big night out, I also love to dance as though no-one is watching, even when they are.

I love upermarket shopping, but hate putting it away.
I was very excited about doing my own supermarket shopping when I went to uni. I had a boyfriend with a car and made him drive me to Safeway so I could have some variety. It is not the only reason I am now married to him.
I think it may stem from supermarket shopping with my mum. She grew up amidst post-war rationing, so found the abundance of lovely food really irrestistable and would get carried away. She used to take me because I'd say "but do we REALLY need that Mum?" when she picked something random up from the yellow sticker shelf!

I've never heard of Tropical World in Leeds, it wouldn't be too far from us for a rainy day trip (we're in North Manchester, a mere skip from the lovely M62)
It's so interesting to read about experiences and practicalities of home ed. It's something I would never have considered until reading various blogs about it. I have to say my daughter will be starting a local school next September, we are lucky to have 2 lovely schools near us. The pressures put on children and teachers these days concerns me though. ( I say that as a high school teacher on a break!)

I'm often found working at home on my laptop with my riollneck rolled over my nose. And I have left my fairy lights up round the fireplace after Christmas - I decided they were too pretty to pack away. They cheer me up every time I switch them on. SImple things...

At first glance it would be annoying if I had to pay a bit more, but I agree that it will affect most people less than increasing the price per child. It's actually quite a fair way of doing things. Wouldn't affect me much as I only go to such places occasionally. You could always not buy a brew, and then you'd end up with an overall saving!
As you say, it is not something to get worked up about; closure of libraries, cutbacks in the number of park rangers, cancellation of school building projects, selingl off woods and forests - these are things to get active about!

The one I've got is Family Kitchen. The salmon with lime, mustard and honey is yum. I like looking at the pics too, I was always put off the Nigella books by the lack of photos! I got Nigella Kitchen for xmas - so far have not made anything, but it's very pretty, hehe.

I love cookbooks, but like you, I never use some of them. The ones I use most are Anjum Anands Indian cookbooks. Amazing, relativley simple and delicious. (She did those "Indian food made simple" progs on BBC) I've also made quite a few things from Tana Ramsay's book.

I'm told that my daughter looks nothing like me - until I show people photos of me when I was little. We have identical cheeky, wild eyed grins!
