Oh lady. We haven't chatted in about a week, and how is it that we take a break from each other for a week and somehow still align in a mysterious and magical way. Is that what happens with soul sisters? I think so. So, I left last week for a trip to C's fam's cabin. My phone died the second day. No computer. No phone. Nada. I spent the whole time in the water, reading, and playing with the dogs. It was amazing. I got back and I started looking through my twitter feed and wanted to throw up! BUY THIS! WEAR THIS! I was like Noooooo! I want to be in the woods. I want to be watching for hummingbirds and laughing in the sunshine. We kayaked out ot the middle of the lake and saw a family of loons and it was breathtaking!!! I SWEAR, I am so sick of the internet right now I can't even tell you. I want simple. SIMPLE. s.i.m.p.l.e. I am with you on this journey sister, and I can't wait to hear the details about this job, and this next chapter. (You know i am secretly hoping you found a job in MPLS and you are moving here and going to be my neighbor, right?) I am with you wherever this blog, this life, and your heart take you.
Well, I am crying (plink plop go the tears on my keyboard) because I a) think you are amazing and beautiful and brave (!!!!) and b) it makes my heart hurt to think about how horrible women are on ourselves. Why do we do this to ourselves? Why can't we look in the mirror and see perfection and love and beauty, and know that we are all unique, and that is what makes us beautiful. Thank you for this. We are ALL beautiful, and it's about time we fucking woke up and started believing it. I know it's time I did.
