<description>The links between biofuels, carbon sinks one the one hand, and land deals and acquisitions on the other hand are critical: they are dispossessing local women and women in communities in Sub-Saharan Africa of their land and livelihoods.  As you mention your article above, this also involves elite capture.  Urgent research and action is needed.  Out of the Box, along with its partners, is also exploring the links between land, conflict, vulnerability, and the negative consequences to adaptation to climate change within a geopolitical and political-ecological context. </description>
