Sometimes my wife gets a little frustrated because it&amp;#039;s hard for her (and me TBH) to know when and how it will make hearing difficult. But she doesn&amp;#039;t get frustrated *at me.*   But I can&amp;#039;t imagine dealing with someone like the LW&amp;#039;s girlfriend or your mother-in-law. That&amp;#039;s just toxic. </description>

<description>Yeah, I&amp;#039;ve discovered it&amp;#039;s a strange disability because you&amp;#039;re still mostly functional, hearing-wise, so most people don&amp;#039;t even realize you have it. But there&amp;#039;s a lot I miss that people don&amp;#039;t realize I miss and I have to constantly move around to position people to my left, and I basically can&amp;#039;t function in noisy spaces anymore. </description>
