Pastor's, eh!? You gotta love em! :)
But as you well know, the bible's full of passages to suit every dubious situation for these guys. Hmmm, I wonder if you could twist something out of this??......Oh, yeah here we go.... I'm amazed he didn't use the Mark 2:16-17 defense:
"When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the "sinners" and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'? On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
So, the simple explanation was he was "ministering" to those wayward ladies, and ...and giving them money so they could...erm....quit their sinful jobs....yeah, that's the one! [whew, hope that one sticks! Otherwise, let's call it "research" like Fred Nile did (http://is.gd/fdyZG)]
