Science is defined as, "the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment." Regardless of what you believe about the subject being discussed, if the documentary is a systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment then I use the word entirely correctly. Suggesting that scientific investigation is only to be applied to things that have nothing to do with the bible or any ancient document that records history would suggest that archeology, anthropology, and any study that might be inspired by something you cannot explain is also unscientific. Ironically that would also include things like evolution, which is presented as truth but has less scientific evidence to support the validity of its theory than the flood described in Genesis.

If anyone is interested, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exmbuX1NffU is a scientific documentary about the "star of Bethlehem" and is free to watch on youtube. There's also an interesting documentary that is free right now that evaluates archeological evidence and compares it to the biblical text of the Exodus. http://www.revelationmedia.com/watchexodus/RM1335... even if you don't believe in Christianity, if you are curious about what science actually says about these events, both of these are fascinating watches.
