Breitbart.tv : Obama Gives No Child Left Behind Waivers To 10 States

where is equal protection under the law when a President, which office is charged by the Constitution to faithfully execute the laws of the United States, takes unto himself the power to decide which entities must comply with a law and which must not? Obama makes Nixon look like a rank amateur when it comes to pissing on the law.

I don't think we should be naming ships after Congress things or politicians at all, unless the person so honored was a true giant- Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, Eisenhower, etc

Big Hollywood : Marvel Studios Now Making the Lazy Comic Cash-Ins It Was Founded to Replace

I disagree with the author. I think this is a case of hating on the popular just to seem edgy. I mean, Captain America grossed $368,608,363 worldwide. In what world is that not a successful film? Apparently some people liked it. I liked Iron Man II. I don't know how the author can say that certain characters were under-developed. I understood Vanko and Hammer and what made them tick. Maybe the author thinks I'm stupid and needs everything spelled out for me in caps. Also, it is the nature of film that a lot of good acting ends up on the cutting room floor. It's been happening ever since light first struck celluloid to record an image. Nah, this author is wrong. Marvel Studios is making movies that people are paying money to see at the theater and own on DVD and Blu-Ray. That the author doesn't like the movies doesn't mean they are bad; it is just his personal preference which he is purveying here as established fact. FAIL

Big Hollywood : Hollywood's Problems Deeper Than Roster of Best Picture Noms No One Saw

Hollywood's problem is that it is a closed society. I really think they (producers, directors, writers, actors) are making movies for themselves. Inside that world, a movie like "The Tree Of Life" is Oscar-worthy; in the real world where actual Americans pay cash to go to the movies, it is a complete dud. It's why a TV show like "30 Rock" can get poor ratings and still be hailed as quality TV. The powers that be in show business don't even know that they are alienating roughly half their potential customers on a regular basis with their religion-bashing, conservative bashing, America bashing fare.

F ire tr UCK George Lucas. I saw the trailer for "Redtails" and can't wait to see it. I like patriotic. I like corny. I'm sick and tired of nihilistic and ironic. And someone should ask the alleged genius Lucas how one goes about making a movie about black fighter pilots without black actors. What a tool.
