I haven't heard of this novel before, but it sounds like a really nice one to read in the summer or as it starts to heat up. The surfing sounds cool, and also about a girl who is finding her place where she fits in. Thanks so much for the review :)

I get that exhausted feeling quite a lot. At the moment its because I am in berserk study mode for my exams which start on Tuesday. I'm also a major introvert who likes to ignore that fact and do all the social things, so I get super exhausted xD

I haven't read the first book yet, but I do have it so I hopefully will still want to read this one after trying the first. It sounds well written and like it was a good story -- but that it had a bit too much craziness going on. And too much can get that feeling of disconnect. A bit of a shame because it sounds like it would have been epic otherwise.

I have read SO many reviews for this novel, and seen it everywhere across booktube and bookstagram and the like. It sounds like such a fun read, and I am so hooked because I am such a softie when it comes to retellings. I love them all. So I can't wait until I can get my hands on a copy.

I haven't read anything by this author before, but I have heard a lot about her works. So I do want to try out one of her books sometime soon! I actually own this one so I am looking forward to when I get the chance to dive into it. The characters sound so bright!

Hmm.. this sounds like a mix of things. On one hand, I have to agree with you - I like the sound of all the diversity this novel has to offer. But I it's such a shame that you couldn't really like a lot of the characters. I am someone who connects to characters first and foremost when I read, so maybe this would be a tricky one for me. But it has piqued my interest somewhat!

Oh wow. I can't believe I have never heard of this novel before! It sounds like the perfect thing for all readers and viewers who like blogs and youtubers, and that it has a lot of diversity in it too. It sounds like the representation was done wonderfully and it just came off as inspiring and empowering in the end. I'll check it out!

From this I am kind of getting A Christmas Carol kind of vibes, where there is the past, present and the future helping her to solve through a situation she is currently facing now. Bu then it sounds a bit weirder than that because other quirky elements are thrown is as well. I am curious, but I am not sure this is going to be one for me? I don't want to get too confused and lost in the story... but great review nonetheless!

Lydia sounds like a straight forward girl who just goes out and lives life, and doesn't want to be repressed by it at all. I really love it when romances are slow burn and balanced, and this book sounds like just the read for that. I haven't read a regency novel in a while either, so maybe this is one for my near future.

Yay for the return of co-bloggers! And you're right - sometimes we just need a bit of a break and that's perfectly okay too. If we never relax, ur bodies and minds would go overboard anyway. Also, I am happy you've been able to read so much! I've been in a slump, ahaha :/ But reading reviews here helps me know that I have some good books to buy which might motivate me to read a little more...
