http://aspiringsteph.blogspot.com/ : A MUST-READ

Steph I am so happy that you are realizing your truth more and more :D it's a great feeling, isn't it? I think looking at traditional cultures is a big clue on what our bodies should assimilate. It's endlessly interesting. I like to think about what people did before the agricultural revolution and just what food meant back then. I can imagine people were really in tune with what gave their bodies energy to survive. Great post and insight! :) XOXO! www.ohonemorething.wordpress.com

Oh wow, girl! All of the delicious summer foods certainly shine here :) Especially those veggie sliders! I had a nectarine yesterday morning and thought of you and our serious love for stone fruits hehehe. I miss you, and I know you are beyond well!!! XOXO! p.s. Alyse is right :) www.ohonemorething.wordpress.com

Sunflower Nut Butter + Honey + Sea Salt! That sounds like a great combination!!! Well, it definitely looks like you were ready for the kitchen :) your dinner looks and sounds verrry appetizing! And I'm sure refreshing to have a homemade meal. I also look for coupons and check the weekly ads. I also know which stores have the cheaper prices for things so I stop by them when they're on the way to something :) XOXO!!! p.s. so awesome that your presentation went beyond well!

I can imagine how inspiring you are in person. I have to tell my mom about your idea for salmon with the strawberries and balsamic. I think she would absolutely love it! Your food looks so appetizing, but coming from you? OF COURSE!!! XOXO, so much love to you!!! p.s. I've started taking some spin classes, and I think of you every time!

Oh my gosh! That's how Matilda is lol and she's INSIDE! I've always loved your traditions :D Like Waffles on Friday or BFD days. These waffles look especially delicious. As does your salad (do you have the recipe for the polenta croutons because that's awesome), and the meal you girlfriend made! And yes! TOLY!! I'm talking to you now. Not Lauren lol. A post from you would be awesome! I would love to be in one of your exercise classes!! I'm actually thinking of changing my running routine and branching out to other things. I'm going to increase my weekly mileage with running and focus more on improving my time. And cross-training with other things that I may find an interest in :) I think it'll help out with my hormones too, and not wear them out with burning myself out from running. Are you going to Napa, CA?! Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful weekend and date night :) XOXO!!! p.s. okay so I really can't get sidetracked because I need to write you an e-mail lol

I'm really picky about pizza too, but I'm not usually in the mood for pizza in particular. It's also hard to find a place that makes good pizza. Yet we both know that we can count on Amy's ;) ANYHOOOO! Congratulations!!! How awesome (and fitting) that you were featured for a traditional breakfast treat. I love granola and you are absolutely right. Just adding a little bit can really make any breakfast bowl shine. Your take on Mexican also looks so delicious especially topped with that mango salad!! Lately I've been remaking salads, things inspired by the potlucks I've gone to recently and restaurant faves, and Indian food of course! XOXO!!!

http://www.saywhatyouneedtosayblog.com/ : Weird Day

Oh man it does sound like a weird day. I hope you find time for the Tuesday one :) Perhaps you can get together with some people from your gym in that class and do something at a park or something.. or contact the usual instructor and if they're up for the idea. Like maybe you guys can pay a couple dollars per class or something if you want to keep doing it on Sunday. XO!

http://www.saywhatyouneedtosayblog.com/ : I Don't Deserve This

I can say that I haven't been sent mean comments, but sometimes I wonder why. I feel like because I'm nice that I can be seen as an easy target. Glad to know that some people can just be nice without being made fun of for it (because that doesn't make sense... but it happens). Anyway, I really can't believe people would say rude things to you. Especially the things that are irrelevant to their business, because frankly it isn't theirs to rub their nose in. Lack of respect, but I'm glad you have respect for yourself and are aware of it. Just remember you know who you are, and the people that love you well they love you for all of those reasons :) XO, all my love to you!

http://www.saywhatyouneedtosayblog.com/ : Hot BBQ's and a Sunny Giveaway!!

I am the same way! I can't wait to get to Florida though so I can take dips in the ocean to cool off, but still soak up the sun. If you ever want to come and visit... YOU SHOULD! :D I know you want to hehehe. We could work out together too! You always write about these awesome exercise classes. And I ran 10 miles yesterday too. I ran it later on though around 10:40 and by then it was in the 90's. I really need to invest in some kind of gear to carry hydration with me. Your meals all look so refreshing--especially that salad. I've been a salad monster as of late. I also have strawberries from a farm around here and they are so delicious.. plus I love the turquoise container they come in :) As for beer, you should pick up Lindeman's raspberry lambic. I'm not a big beer person, but this is my favorite. I also enjoy Stella... guess the Belgian's just do it right along with their chocolate. XO!!!

Yay! So glad that those issues were worked out :) So many things to say about the yummy foods here! I still haven't tried that frozen pizza BUT funny story... it's been sitting in my freezer since the beginning of the semester.. or school year? oh goodness I don't even know. I seriously can't believe how I've managed to do so well with the whole "cook a batch of things" to have my I-have-no-time food lol. That wrap sounds fantastic as well! And your meal out with your friend :) yummmay! I love that picture of you with that cookie and the COCONUT ICED CHAI!! WHAT?! I want one too :D I'm going to pass on your salad idea to my mom--she loves salmon and I think it'd be nice for her to try something different. XOXO, much love!!!

Such a good idea! I try to avoid plastic containers and such because of the chemicals. I can imagine that a straw would be great too. Especially for yummy smoothies since the warm weather is back ;) Yeah girl, our sunshine is back! 1. and hmm... something I've done recently to help the environment. Well I've been doing these things for quite awhile, but I don't drive so I just bike or walk everywhere. And I always take my reusable bags with me :) XOXO!!!

I hear you on the refreshing meals, and fresh Thai food! There's a place around here called Thai Diner and ... it's basically Thai food with a diner twist aka not fresh and just greasy. I don't know.. that's just not authentic to me, you know? But I love that your dad also shares the love for it :D happy birthday to him! Matilda likes the same kind of spot that Sammy does hehe. Such a beautiful home, and I can't wait to see all of the great things that await you and Toly :) Now on to the food. Everything in this post sounds delicious! I love the beets and hummus combo. Don't you love the colors that you end up with after a meal with beets? It's like a watercolor.
Ohhh if only I woke up with the sun today. It was such a blaaah day or as my roommate put it a "blank" day. I think you'll do well at the race next weekend :D You know that rush you get in a race and that will definitely kick in! It's funny.. I don't like cold weather but I managed to keep my runs outdoors through the cold season. It's actually helped me adjust to the idea of winter, and I get my natural dose of vitamin D and crazy endorphins. Anyway lol! I can't wait till you take us on a tour of your house! I know he's got a wonderful mom taking care of him :) Have you tried roasting brussels sprouts?
So glad you linked back to the vegetable bake! I am bookmarking it now :D I wish I had seen it earlier because I already went to the store. I think I will make this next week. I thought the same thing about that 18 Rabbits snack bar. It tasted good, but not quite like the label. 1. I went to a casting call today, and I found out that I'm in! Richmond Fashion Week here I come :D 2. I guess I do because classes don't start till Tuesday :) 3. I never thought about the ginger ale! I like ginger ale, but you're right... no spiciness. Just gives me burps from the carbonation lol. XOXO!
