Totally cool. This passes my parenting acceptability test, along with my fiancee's. Waylon, Lyla, keep bringing us the good news! Also, to the comment above about squirting and tantric sex, right on!

As with self and sex as is self with love. From the Deepak Chopra [edited?] 'Kama Sutra' (which IS funny when you think about it!) we find "Sex is nourishing. But sex without love Is like trying to grow a rose with sun but no water."

Sure. Lots of things to think about here. And fairly much, a lot of it is neutral to the critical mind. If you 'really' want truth, you'll have to eschew your own personal convictions about what is goo,d helpful, harmful, or bad. The truth might be so glaringly scary that you'll wish you'd never pursued it's resonance. Yet, if you do, be prepared for what you find, and be prepared in the sense of maintaining your own self-worth, your own right to be loved and valued, and your own ability to make changes despite seeming circumstance and zeitgeist norms. And be careful of making claims about other cultures as if they were a homogenous entity by which are worthy of being judged unilaterally. The human condition trumps national identity every moment of every day, yesterday, now, and onwards.

There are many wonderful men, many wonderful writers. While Waylon might have his own muse, you will find your equal admirer in your own time. Be open to him, her, them... they'll be there when it happens, and if you're open, happen it will.

"I am just a train, running alongside your tracks. And I will not smother you, but I will smother them—with the paper-thin friendliness of a tiger, burning bright." - Diggin' it. Well put. But that would say back off... how would you, Waylon, act/react if they pursued? Would you see yourself graceful? fearful? rageful?

You'll find the right place when the time comes. What about yoga at home in the interim? Or, start your own group at a local community center, where a yoga-teacher-intern-type can be glad to take on a trainer role while you benefit from free/low-cost, even for-charity yoga sessions? Boosh!!

Awesome! I love this. I'm trying to get my life under way, and I feel my career will be that of 'a creative', doing stage shows, a la Bill Maher, Lewis Black (I don't know as much about him), Lee Camp even, of course in my own way, with a heavier focus on education than just entertainment. Making use of these tips, and a book I recently read called Manage Your Day-to-Day, that has been very helpful in priming me as well.

elephant journal: Yoga, Sustainability, Politics, Spirituality. : What Women Desperately Want from Men (& How to Get it). ~ Lori Ann Lothian

Edit need - "the mega hit article The Lost Art of Masculinity, " - you'll want to fix the link here - it links back to your 'mini-viral' once again, unless you're being coy at your own self-promotion, but that can't be what's going on here, right? :D - Now, I really enjoyed this article. I'm thinking and feeling, as a man, all of these things lately, I especially resonate with the part about "And yes, what defines heroic will vary from woman to woman. For me, the heroic masculine looks like a man on-purpose in his life, making a contribution to the greater good, laced with kindness, fairness and passion", for this too we must complicate the notion that, we are not all strictly men, or women, and that the full-spectrum is to be honored and made fair and laid-bare. Our fellow citizen hero Chelsea Manning is an example of this. And of lesbians? And gay men? And of transgender bisexuals, as well, what then of yin and yang? Are there any clear answers? Surely there are ways to honor the needs in whatever form they come, so long as they are safe and consensual in honor and compassion.

elephant journal: Yoga, Sustainability, Politics, Spirituality. : 3 Signs That it's Time to Get off the Self-Help Train.

Awesome article! Real life change has to be genuine and come from repeated habits of behavior and mind set in realistic expectations of how effort takes time and in how we are creatures who are able to commit to living a peaceful, healthy, strong life, and that it just takes effort and hard work and a sustained relationship with one's own efforts towards -becoming- that good life in their own self. Being realistic is hopeful because in the end it becomes ... real.
