9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Google's response to Steve Jobs Android smack-down

Android seems to get more of the "early adopter" users whereas Iphone is a more conservative choice from a software reliability standpoint. Stated another way, if you need it to work all the time, you get an Iphone. If you prefer the wild west where you fix it yourself, you get Android.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Steve Jobs rips Android a new one

Stop and think for a minute... if a competitor really doesn't bother you and you think their product isn't a threat, you'd ignore it but if you come out all guns blazing like Jobs just did it means he's concerned. He wouldn't waste his energy if he wasn't...

The only obstacle I see is power/amplification. Your proposed setup would require each individual speaker, no matter how large or small, to have it's own amplification source (normally provided by receiver). This makes each speaker slightly heavier and more expensive than it normally is.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : What Does $149 Get You These Days?

I picked up an 8 gb in red last night and I love the thing. I have a 30 gb Video but needed something for working out and running. This Nano is perfect for it. Not that the 2nd gen Nanos weren't great but this one is unbelievable. Everybody I show it to loves it. I think if you try one you'll be very surprised by how much you like it.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : iPhone Hacks All Part of the Plan?

I can't believe the hack "journalists" out there that hear one piece of sensationalistic headline grabbing "news" and spread it around like a wild fire. iSupply is a joke. All of their figures are estimates and only account for components - nothing else. Why any respectable journalist or news outlet would quote them is beyond me. Oh yeah - makes for a great headline.

Why would it be a flaw to mimic the great design of the iPhone? That's just stupid thinking. You'd be able to have compatible accessories. It makes it more cost effective for the manufacturing and every partner making things from docks to carry cases.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : IPOD TOUCH CONFIGURATION WILL BE:

I'm hoping the nano and ipod "video" lines will become one. this new "nano" would be aimed at the music crowd. ipod "video" sized screen and flash memory. Then the full screen iPod "touch" will be for the more video love'n crowd. Keeps the product line nice and simpe. Shuffle, iPod, iPod Touch. Thinking about it from this angle, i really like the new square "nano" design.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Amazon Gives Away New iPod Pricing?

Maybe it was the nanos, but i recall hearing more capacity with more aggressive pricing. $609, are you kidding me. There are media players out there that will do alot more than what we're evening hoping apple will do way less money. Like that new samsung with bluetooth and touchscreen for example. Not sure on other specs. But there is no way the new ipod will cost more than $50 more than the older videos. Hopefully less

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : 1080P on iPhone 3GS? Maybe, maybe not.

Ah...call me confused. Doesn't 720p or 1080p imply 720 pixels and 1080 pixels respectively? So from an engineering point of view it's just not possible to watch either 720p or 1080p videon on an iPhone with a 480 pixel screen. The video is being downsampled to 480p.
