And meanwhile Soldier is thinking what exactly? "Dear God above, what happened to my team, and am I next?"

Or perhaps, "... I'm okay with this."

You will die... It's on sale right now in Steam!

Seth is spot on with that video, by the way. Extra Credits have one of the best explanations to the misinterpreted difficulty of Dark Souls.
(The misconception is not that it isn't difficult. It is... very).

It should be noted that the mechanics mentioned in the video are present somewhat in the first Dark Souls, but it's not quite as well integrated as it is in Dark Souls II. You also don't need to play the original to pick up the sequel.

If you like playing games for the story, Dark Souls lore is, uh... complicated. You could say it's up for interpretation, which, personally, I love.

The appeal of the cliché… Hard to say! I think generally they would be more accepted by an audience that isn’t trying to analyze the film, book, or whatever form of media they’re being presented in, and instead just trying to lose themselves in the story. When the audience recognizes a cliché, I guess it might be comforting since it seems familiar, but on the other hand, you wonder if the reason writers use cliché lines so often isn’t just because they’re running out of things that haven’t been said! It’s hard to be original, and some media consumers have just accepted that, I suppose.

For me personally? I guess you could say I like them because when a gem comes along that DOESN’T use them, they’re all that more refreshing and enjoyable!

Um... I'm pretty sure you're thinking of cliques, not clichés.

Haha. Yeah, I know. All you get for finishing on easy is some dancing eggplants or something. I'm still not really sure what those things were supposed to be. xD

It just made you want to go back finish it on the other difficulties once you knew that wasn't truly how it ended though. On some level I miss that kind of game design, where you get different endings depending on the difficulty you played on, but on the other hand I'm becoming a fan game developers that are trying to do away with "difficulty levels" and letting the player set their own difficulty curve based solely on the mechanics of the gameplay. I suppose an example would be From Software and the Dark Souls series.

It's crazy, right? Zero Wing was actually a pretty awesome game!

It took me ages to beat it on the easiest setting, but hey, it kept me coming back, lost in translation or not!

We did it!
I hope everyone keeps up with their art, and good luck in all your future endeavors!
This was a massive challenge, but that number is nothing to sneeze at. Great work, everyone!
And thanks to Phoe one last time! We'll see you at the summer ATG!

That's really awesome T_T
I've been playing since Warcraft II was a new game, and it's ridiculously nostalgic to see all these old names pop up again. Like, "Ah! My old nemesis! We meet again..." Hah.
That, and the garrison feature is clearly a callback to the base management days of the RTS. It looks so good T‿T

Sigh... I actually own Warlords of Draenor, but I have this horrible thing called satellite Internet that makes it literally impossible to play.
So much sad. I really want to check out the new expansion.

You are forced to sit and watch the last 1 minute of every new episode in season 5 before you've seen the rest of the episode à la "Clockwork Orange" style.
Bad torture, or worst torture?
