I find it best to turn off everything electronic and be still in the morning alone with just the Bible or a book talking about bible verses, and in layman conversation with God talking to Him like I would talk to my best friend. Then, I am refueled, feeling "beloved," and it seems on days like that when the best things happen to me even if they aren't spectacular or particularly noteworthy, the day is just...different.

I like what you said that planning is a rough draft for living. Very well put. I make so many plans that I have to tack "tentative" in front of it because I never know how my plans will work out as the day unfolds. Sometimes, God has different plans.

I re-vamped my blog because I just couldn't write everyday anymore. So I have a new blog, with a new brand, and a three day a week schedule for more thought out and researched blogs. I leave open the in between times for reviews or guest posts. Just couldn't do the everyday blogging anymore.

I suppose I'd have to read it all in context. We need the Bible to understand who Christ is and without the Bible that leaves us to make it up as we go. Like you said, I would need to read the book myself to et it all in context. :o) Great review.

I don't even try memorizing. I retain scripture pretty good, but not in the way of being able to quote word for word or verse, but when I need it it comes to me and when I need to find it God provides the right key word search, and there it is...the verse that comes to mind. Maybe one day I'll learn to memorize. Meanwhile, I'm reading His Word and learning that daily discipline. Good for you for taking on such a difficult challenge.

Makes sense. Sin doesn't have dominion over us. We're not slaves to it, but now we have choices is how I look at it. I'm sure only you notice your skin. We women are harsher on ourselves than anyone.
