A couple random thoughts-
1- Whomever is designing their dishes since Christmas, has hit it out of the park. The last set of dishes I bought (or needed), was over 8 years ago from them. Since Christmas, I bought the metalic gold lace dinner plates, the woodland animal desert plates, and the pink/ gold spatter side plates. So kudos.

2- I've swallowed any guilt about taking advantage of free shipping if ordered in store and no longer feel guilty if I have to return items since the amount of online only items is ridiculous (and will always be my main grip with them). At some point, I might get that dreaded "you've returned too many things..." phone call/ talk at POS. But as they've made a business decision to continue that way, I've been using it.

3- As for style, I am working two jobs, plus taking classes, so a lot of what they come out with is too impractical for me. I have never had much luck with their summer lines (tend to be too boho), and since I wear jeans every day (PLEASE NEVER GET RID OF PILCRO JEANS), all I am looking for is great tops/ blouses to wear to work and class. That all said, I did finally buy the Hemant & Nandita Amalia Eyelet dress, because it is pretty and unique.

I just went on Anthro's site and they are now having 25% of sale prices. So maybe that is what they were hinting at (in addition to the Easter Hosting sale)

OT- But any scoop on if the new NYC store opening this Friday will have any special promos for opening day/ weekend? I am planning to go on Saturday morning, already, but maybe a trip on Friday night as well if any special promos!

I am really, really, really excited for the NYC location! I hope they have a good balance of clothes and housewares. At some point I can see taking a day trip to the Westport location since they have a Terrain location. My hope is that these locations will have unique items to them not just the same things that are at every Anthro.

I wish they would fix the inventory issues-

1- Out of stock online = not having the ability too see if an item is in store. There are workarounds to this, but it can be time consuming.

2- The age old frustration of an item saying it is on-line only, but it actually is in store can be addressed by adding a "in select stores tag". I am lucky to work near an Anthro so I end up ordering in store so I'm not paying shipping, but I have paid for shipping, only to find the item in a store later.

Anthro has put their sale on sale (now sale is 50% off lowest price) through the weekend. So maybe next week?

The irony is that if you look at Anthro's Pinterest boards (wear to work especially) , they are filled with pins for great looking clothes/ styles that if they were to create their own version of the item/ outfits, would be exactly what (I think) many women here would jump at owning.

Same here, I have GC from last (2015) Christmas and still waiting to use them on something. I've already turned to the home department and purchased the gold lace metallic plates. Maybe 2017 will be an Anthro Home year.

Personally, I am getting more and more frustrated with the lack of clothes in the store. I completely get that one store cannot have all, but with more and more stores (at least in NYC) doing the mini-department store theme, it has cut down the clothes inventory by at least half. Even with free shipping, I don't feel I should have to pay $1000+ to try on some of the new items. I'm treating myself to a trip to the new King of Prussia store so maybe they'll have a few of the items.

Regarding the new website. There are too many issues to list here, but my biggest ones are as follows:
1- Store Locator
pt 1- Every freaking time, it comes up with some random store at first and then after putting in my zip I get the list.
pt 2- Most of the new arrivals (or "older items" have the phrase "We're sorry. This product is no longer available." But chances are the store never got the item to begin with. Why not say "This item is not available yet"?
pt3- the whole pick up in store functionality is weird. If the default store is not near you (see above), you have to search for your store, select "select your store" and then the store changes (and maybe the pick up in store button becomes enabled). And then have to do another search to see if other stores have the item instead (like the previous version), you could see in store availability for multiple stores.
