Nickel by Nickel : Gold Mutual Funds 101: How this precious commodity can bolster your portfolio

I don't tend to go into much detail online about PM's on purpose, I would not invest in paper pm's I have purchased and sold some physical PM's. It's fun to look at. ;)

Thanks, you know, I didn't even notice the first contribution coming out because it popped up in my budget, i cleared the transaction and thought nothing of it until I went back and realized, oh hey! That went to my RSP! I love the TFSA, I plan to stick with that the the RSP for now. Stocks again in the future :) Good luck on your spaceadventures haha

Yes it's not cheap but yeah.... worth every penny. Until i adopted this guy I knew I liked animals but I never truly understood that dog-love thing. I get it now.

You know, a lady that worked for me a few years ago did it and when she told me I thought she was nuts, literally nuts. Now that i've done it... it takes no effort, it's cheaper, it's GOOD for him, and he seems superhappy. Guess I'm nuts too ;) (I've also noticed his hair has become really soft and he glows more than he did before)

If you find it please let me know! When I went through obedience training I went through so many treats and they're so expensive to buy. I've had the fleeting thought of attempting it myself but never gave it more thought. I definitely will now!

Hmmmm, I looked at Airbnb and tried to search for it but it seems to have been unlisted? Anyway, we stayed in Union City, NJ. The busline to the NYC Port Authority was about a stonesthrow from the appartment and off-peak usually took about 10Minutes... then you can either start walking through manhattan or take the subway wherever you want to go! We paid $619.71 for 5 nights, the AirBNB service fee was $66.00. We had two actual beds and one pullout futon so after we split the cost in three it wasn't bad at all! There are lots of listings and tons of reviews, it's a great way to go! :)

Nickel by Nickel : Networth November 2012

I screwed up the times in the comment I deleted: Yes, the HELOC was previously my student loan, I paid off all my student-related debt in full in January. Once I got it down to zero I paused for a while, then moved about $3,000 from the HELOC to my mortgage because the HELOC has a lower interest rate, the remaining $17k and change has all been sunk into the house. Makes me cry that I went from $50k debt back up to almost $70k but on the upside I now have estimates for re-sale of anywhere from $100k to $125k. I plan to sell within the next two years so trying to save for these projects and pay all cash wasn't really an option.

For clarification, not a single penny on that darn HELOC was spent on any fun stuff or widgets. It's entirely house. (didn't want to make that stupid mistake again so I just wrote cheques to contractors from the HELOC)

Entire bathroom gut to the studs and floorbeams... running total so far is #3,149.88 including all supplies and labour, left; installing the already paid-for tiles, hooking the electric up to the panel (already run) and wainscotting/painting, bolting down the toilet... so I'm guessing the total will come in at about $4,000! Thanks :)

It's like an avalanche... once you start looking at fixing one thing it's like you're incapable of not noticing everything else that needs fixing. I'd start with the balcony door though, seems that draft there is probably causing more trouble than the one in your entry?
