From a law student to a legal academic: surely they taught you in law school to check your sources (lol).
Concerning the gospel of Mark, you make two fallacious comments:
1) "Mark did not believe Jesus’ status differed greatly from God’s chosen sons of the past; David, Elijah, Moses, Elisha"; and
2) "Mark is ... a gospel lacking ... a resurrection narrative (the last twelve verses are almost universally agreed to be later additions)".
on 1), read Mark 14:61-64. Note that "I am" is God's personal name Yahweh (see e.g. Exodus 6:2). On 2), read Mark 16:1-8. As you state, Mark 16:9-20 is believed by most Christians to be a later addition, but that is only the tail-end of the resurrection account.
