I really want to read this book! Have read a couple of reviews about it in the last two days and I'm getting more and more excited! And this cover is so much nicer than the original one, I think.

I haven't sent any e-mails either. I'm not really sure how many followers and such one should have and on addition, I live in Germany. I'm pretty sure most publishers would only bother to sent a book to Germany if it was for a very well known blogger who has been blogging for years. On the other hand it can't hurt to try... This is my internal debate, but as I said, so far I haven't made any moves.

I couln't agree more! I have to say that I haven't actively done a lot of things to support equality, which I'm a bit ashamed about. But, on the other hand I don't know exactly what I can do... I've been to a couple gay prides, but I don't think that's really helping. I'll have to think about what else I could do.

Wow. Sounds like you really hated that book! Well I have it on my tbr, but that's the second negative review I read about it today, so I don't know. I'll probably just erase it from my tbr!

I can understand that when a blogger gets a ton of comments it's impossible to answer to every single comment. And it's true that sometimes you just say again what you've already written on your post. What I don't like is when I comment on almost every single one of a person's posts and never get an answer. So I think that bloggers who decide (understandably) to only answer to some of their comments should maybe try to answer to different people every time. Because I sometimes notice that people tend to answer more to comments from their blog friends or from popular bloggers, rather than to various readers of their blog. which I can also understand, but I find it a bit unfair.

I have heard about this from other bloggers too and that's why I haven't joined any affiliate programs so far. What I don't understand is why so many bloggers do this if there's so little to earn! Because I see affiliate links in about 80-90% of the reviews. And I also never click on them for the same reasons you said! The only thing I'm wondering about is can you click your own link? Like, buy books and get some commission from what you buy at least?

I also worry about that sometimes. It's hard to put some personality into what you're reading! What I try to do is put some emotion into what I'm writing and try to express my true feelings as best as possible. But it's still hard!
