Turning off you phone in meetings has to be a number one protocol, unless there is a potential family emergency. Even then quick glance soon tells you whose calling, then you can ignore it. It just common courtesy really. What's worse is discussing business in a public place (elevators are public places too) - you really don't know who is listening.

I absolutely concur that case studies are valuable content - I run a variety of series in my blog (e.g. comments regarding my local American Marketing Association chapter, business lessons from the Civil War, etc.) but the most popular one by far is where I tell stories about consulting scenarios I've encountered. As a marketer I really love looking at my blogging stats and seeing what drives traffice and where that traffic comes from - it is real-time test marketing for ideas!

Good to see everyone is working on a brand. We have to remember that we need to demonstrate value to our clients. Keep focused on that and we should do well. Know the business you are selling to and demonstrate value they can use.

Cindy - as long as you've found a way to improve - that's great and more than most people do - or ever admit they need to. Fact is, we all need to.Writing down your resolutions and having them in a place that you can see on a daily or weekly basis really does help.

Business Consulting Buzz : 5 Reasons Consultants Should Blog

My husband and I have been blogging for more than three years. He is the one more into SEO and he often tells me how important link building is for our sites to rank higher or closer to first few pages of search engine results pages. Reading once again about link building here encourages me more to take this seriously to improve the traffic of my websites.
