I love, love LOVE my gray hair! It's only a splash in the front, and it came out in a growth spurt when I was 24. It came from a growing and learning pain, and it will always serve as a reminder that I will always have he strength to face whatever life throws at me. I also got to nod to every single item on this list... :)
She's got a great voice and an astounding stage presence: she's a winner!
"It's ok though cause I drink a lot." Ha! I do this kind of stuff all the time! I lost 3 so I get to tell strangers about all my pregnancies followed by "Oh I don't have any kids at all, thanks for asking!" We don't try to make people awkward we just do it. Out of sheer natural talent. But I don't mean to make light of your loss. I honestly do believe losing them when their but in 2-3 months of fetus must be so much less painful than after an actual birth...
It truly is great when we have a reminder that life does go on, unless you are a beheaded tree of course. Touching testimony...
Wow. That Chris Rock quote - talk about dead on! Great poem, very touching and extremely well said. I particularly love the line "From the outside looking in" says it all doesn't it?
Holy toledo! Awesome story. So captivating... obviously I didn't know she was dreaming so I kept wondering "why doesn't Carly react to all this weird shit happening?" then when she woke up I thought "oh yeah, the old dreaming trick, sure!" I still wanted more from her. Maybe tap into her desire to do something or say something, or an explanation as to why she didn't react in any way when all the chairs started moving and following her mom. What were her inner thoughts?
The convo between her and her mom was absolutely credible. Loved it. And the whole summer camp horror stories - oh yes, I'll never grow out of THOSE! Nice one Jessie!
I feel your pain... I once crashed into a car as I was driving to an auto body shop to pay for my previous accident. I'm the one percent. The one percent who has had multiple car crashes.
How cool that we both posted a story about an accident AND karma! It's like we're blog twinsies! :)
You know... I can picture a lion inside of you too. Not just the dinosaur. Nice piece of writing there lady!
To marry Leo I wore bitchin' black boots. Knee high. Black tights. A mini skirt. He wore a tuxedo t-shirt. We took the saying of our vows extremely seriously. Especially that we wed AFTER the Hawaii honeymoon where we bought our wedding rings. By the time the wedding night was over my ring was destroyed. I played too roughly with all my friends kids...
I can't wait to see the surprise! And looking forward to discovering those who got the lovely award...
